Not bad/ Not a bargain
I was asked by an elderly neighbor to find and purchase a tower to replace her windows Vista machine. She had picked out a Celeron unit but after many years of repairing PCs, I know a Celeron is short lived. I looked the specs over on this Lenovo and it was adequate. I ordered the unit and received it quickly. My very first impression was bad. The power supply is an external switching power adapter much like you would expect for a laptop. I actually like CPU power supplies for dependability and longevity. Also, I was disappointed in the level of chassis cooling. The only fan is for the processor and it is not very large. The chassis itself stays uncomfortably warm during operation. During setup, I removed the malware that is called Mcafee and allowed the Defender software to do its job. After setup, performance was acceptable. It's not really a gamer nor is it a workstation. Somewhere between. It performed with video well. Sound was pretty good. This unit performs as well as can be expected. You get what you pay for. The keyboard is not great. Mouse is a little better. You will find only two USB plugs on the back off the unit. Plenty on the front but I found it annoying to plug the printer in the front for her because the back couldn't support more than the KB and mouse. This is an economy unit. Know this and you will be fine. ## If you note the pictures above, it shows an internal power supply. This is not the case with the unit I received. The Tower I received had an external power supply.

If you want something slower than what you have already
Slower than molasses4GB DDR4 SDRAM (2 x memory slots, expandable up to 16GB) - Lenovo support tells me this is not true. They say only one memory slot. I will find out soon when my 8GB memory board gets here and I open it up.

Nice basic computer
Very happy, bought this for an employee that mainly does work telemarketing and using a PC to update the CRM. Just basic computing work, but I have been very happy with this unit, we only buy Lenovo computers for desktops.

My HP Desktop hard drive went bad... Called a pro installer and when he added up what it would take to install a new hard drive and his expense, I opted buy this PC, frankly it's all I could find, it seems smart phone and laptops are where its at... all I can say is do not buy this PC...It's slower than slow... I wish I had had him repair my HP PC... this one just sucks then sucks again
