The coffee is gas flushed and packed immediately from the roaster in an airtight bag with a one-way valve. This keeps it fresh for 9 months. You will find the 'roasted on' and "best before' dates printed on your bag.

What method do you use for the decaff process? Im very surprised it's not written on the packaging.

Hi Piotr, Thank you for your message and interest in our decaffeination process. At Union, we decaffeinate our coffee using the CO2 process. Although it sounds quite scientific, it’s a natural process which only uses water and carbon dioxide. Water is steamed onto the unroasted coffee beans to open their pores and enable liquid CO2 to absorb the caffeine, this is then pumped into an “evaporator” where it’s converted into a gas again to be separated.
