It's bright, it has many colors and color combos, you can make it flash/strobe slowly or spin. its pretty much silent you only hear a slight noise if its in a silent room close to your head. it has no timer and runs on either AAA batteries or via a plug. go for the plug cause the batteries do run out fast. the distance and brightes are really good. i have nothing to set it on right now so in my photo its actually on the floor. im shocked at how well it works for the price. it even came with a sea themed cover so i can have ocean stuff or stars. its easy to exchange the covers and its light weight so its easy to handle.

I genuinely bought this because of GentleWhispering’s (YouTube) video. My girls (aged 9 and 5) both love it so much. I love that it rotates if you want it to, and it has a variety of options for color combinations. One of my girls prefers the stars, while the other prefers the marine life, so we switch them out every night and it’s very easy to do. For the price it’s definitely a great buy, and the instructions that come with it are clear and easy to understand. I like that you can choose to use the USB charger or disposable batteries. Would definitely recommend!

its cute plastic part kinda flimsy. i wished it lasted long with my kids but my kids grabbed it dropped it a few time and so its broke. just wish thinks like this was able to be attached to the walls so kids cant touch it. also would be nice if it stayed on through out the whole night.

I bought this to keep my infant son entertained while we're laying in the bed. He loves it, and I love it too. There are lots of different color options including one with a strobe effect. It covers the whole ceiling with dancing lights. There are two covers: an underwater and a star theme, I like the starry one the best. My only critique might be to have more options. But for something so cheap I was expecting much lower quality so I was very pleasantly surprised with it.

1st off...it works. 2nd batteries doesn't last long, better to use cord but then it doesn't automatically shut off. 3rd dome is so fragile have to pick it up by only the base. Colors are brightbut images are not clear when projects. Probably recommend if made with better material esp for the high price.

I had two similar "shadow machines" and they had a million things wrong with them, including not being able to withstand travel. Not only does this item have multiple shapes, but it has a protective cover for travel. It also has an on/off button which is huge (the other ones I've had did not). And there are labels next to each button indicating what they do. Overall, this is exactly what we were looking for and much better than the others listed on Amazon!

I can't rate this right now, I did recieve it but right off the bat I was disappointed because I thought it would be a plug into an outlet option. My grandson doesn't have a computer in his room to use for power and i am not going to have my daughter go broke on the cost of batteries, so I had to spend more money to buy an adapter to use it in an outlet, so it is costing me more money. wasn't happy about that. Has to sit extremely high/close to ceiling to make out pictures. On table or even stand up dresser images are to large and dull

Aweful! False advertising! Complete junk! Blurry blobs that are not sea creatures. No remote, but that doesn’t matter when the quality is so poor. Sad that this is even sold anywhere. Rethinking my Amazon membership
