One of my favorites

Saw the movie before and loved it

I enjoyed this movie. It isn't earth shattering or necessarily academy award winning--but it was a nice few hours spent to get away from the craziness of my life and slip into the craziness of Denzel's character's life. And crazy it was...having an affair that almost cost him everything! It is a little nerve wracking, watching Denzel go through the realization of the fact if he doesn't solve this thing, he will go down for murder. He is a flawed man, the Police Chief of a small town, so you gotta know he does not want to go on trial as a murderer, although only one other person (besides the bad guys--and us, the audience) are aware of his desperation. A twisty little plot, it takes you right to the edge of his life with the possibility of spending the rest of it behind bars. Out of time is the right title--because he is definitely out of time.

This is a great entertaining movie that takes you on a suspenseful thrill ride! Although not one of my favorite Denzel Washington movies, it is creative to the thrills it delivers. I was on edge watching thisand cannot believe the luck of this character. I enjoyed it for the entertainment value and it was fun towatch! I would recommend as it was put together very well.

I have no idea how well the film did at the box-office, but at home, watched via DVD and TV monitor, it was certainly a hit in my living room. Washington is at the center at all times even when he is not actually on screen. Its all for the best since his good-humored lusty young police chief unifies the plot and action providing the golden thread which holds the whole thing together. There is an adequate degree of suspense, a good deal of anything but straitlaced straight arrow behavior, and a good assortment of featured players for him to negotiate with, but in the end it is Washington's show. It is due to him that what might have been a hokey third rate cop in the hole show or a cheap lusty cop in bed and out sexpot ill-tasting stew, is turned into an almost James Garner can of humor-suspense-at heart good natured action film...with the barest minimum of shoot-'em-up bloodletting. I liked this one and I am pretty sure most of you would like it too.

I am a big fan of Denzel Washington and this movie does not disappoint!! He is a police officer in a small town and corruption is clearly so attractive to any underpaid person (most Americans). Just took some real imagination to have all these different problems and then how they were addressed. Extremely enjoyable! Well priced, well packaged and quickly mailed. Enjoy enjoy!

This edge-of-your seat movie is one to watch over and over. When the good guy is trapped in a jam where, as a lawman, Denzel Washington steps outside of the law to help a friend/lover (Sanaa Lathan) and ends up staying a half-step ahead of the law trying to rectify things, you can't help rooting for him all the way. I didn't know sweet little Dean Cain could play such an evil guy (as husband to the friend of Denzel), and Eva Mendes (Denzel's separated wife) was a threat to him as well as a lawperson not knowing it was him she was after. You've gotta watch it to follow all of this but I like it so well, this DVD is actually the second one I've bought to replace my lost first one. I'd buy it again if anything happened to this one!Joyce Corey

I saw this movie on Amazon Prime and bought for a friend, as I really enjoyed it.

Compré la edición en Blu-Ray de MGM pero en su lugar me mandaron la nueva edición de MVD, la cual no sabía que tiene el video remasterizado. Así que recomiendo totalmente la nueva edición lanzada por MVD en el 2018, ya que incluye una pista de doblaje en español latino, subtítulos en español, los mismos extras que la edición de MGM y lo mejor de todo es que el video viene remasterizado, lo único que no incluye es el DVD.

Ich liebe Filme die spannend sind und dieser verspricht es definitiv. Gute Schauspieler mit einer tollen Überraschung am Ende des Films.
