Still Spirits Classic Turbo Yeast 18% 175 gm

It does great..in one day I was getting the smell of alcohol. No bad aroma came from it. Started working in about 1/2 hour.

I didn't realize this was a yeast blend and not just straight yeast but I am still happy with the product. It works great so far! I put it in my cranberry apple wine base two days ago and I'm already getting alchohol smell! This seems to be great quality yeast, it has easy to follow instructions. One package will make about five gallons of twenty percent abv. wine. I am still in the fermentation process but I believe it whole heartedly will. Should be fully fermented within a week.

It wasn't a 48 hour variety honestly, but that's not a bad thing. This is known to put up food numbers but the quality of the finished product is why they're famous. Smelled fresh and not crazy expensive by itself. Was simple to start and did its job.

Activated nicely in a cup of 90° water and tablespoon of sugar. I initially used some old yeast I had, and almost wasted a bunch of sugar, fermentation was almost none existent. So in an effort to save the batch I added the turbo yeast after activating. After just a few hours I have far more activity than a batch I started a day earlier, with fresher yeast than the second attempt. The additives definitely seem to help the little buggers get going pretty quickly. I've have to give it a couple days and test ABV. I'll purchase again more than likely.

Very active yeast but not great for making mead

Not as easy to use and get good results as it's claimed to be.

So people tend to give turbo yeast a bad wrap, and I decided to use mine with no sugar added. It turned out great! People already have tested the mead I made with it and loved the taste of it.
