Excellent and silly ABC book!

I love Olivia! This book was a gift for a one year old girl. The pictures are simple and straightforward. It is fun and free spirited like Olivia yet it teaches children the A,B,C's in an entertaining educational format. The background is white while the A, B, C letters, Olivia, and pictures of the objects are in color, which to me helps to focus on those areas for children. The board book is thick and well made.

This was a gift. The recipient was extremely pleased!

Pros: - Overall a fun book. The aesthetic of these books is delightfully simple. They don't use unnecessary background, so it's easy for kids to focus on the subject. - Being a board book makes it durable for young (that is, destructive) readers like my two-year-old. I do have a couple of criticisms, though: - My main complaint about this book is that some of the words, such as "gingerbread" for "G", don't correspond to the more standard letter sound. Consequently, it's not well-suited for teaching kids the phonetic alphabet, which is the main reason that I got it. - I was a little disappointed at first to notice that many of the images are recycled from other Olivia books. But this could actually be a perk. If your kids are big Olivia fans like mine are, they could enjoy spotting familiar images and linking them back to the book that they came from.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my new granddaughter (by the way her name is Olivia). :) I was not disappointed when it arrived! Got it on time, in excellent condition, and it's such a well illustrated book. She will love it forever!

Great sturdy book. We used it as a Guest Book for a friends baby shower who is naming her daughter Olivia and the pages are very thick for that use.

Libro arrivato in anticipo, ottime condizioni. Lo userò per insegnare l' alfabeto. Peccato sia un po' piccolo come formato, ma mooolto carino.

Olivia’s ABC é um dos livrinhos de abecedário que mais gosto. É esteticamente lindo, as páginas são bem limpas e existe uma harmonia entre as figuras, com um tom de vermelho sempre presente. A simplicidade faz com que as crianças foquem bem nas letras.

Very successful present on the safe delivery of Olivia Charlotte....the first grandchild of dear friends....the parents are teachers and having worked in a school I understand how important books are in the education of all children.
