In my case, an inground 17x35, there was no accounting for prevailing winds on our site and the built-in skimmer was placed at the upwind end, while the prevailing winds blow all the debris to the opposite end rendering the skimmer almost useless. Fortunately there's a return at the downwind end and that's where this Pool Skim goes, and works very well. Only wish it came with a bigger bag (our pool has Silver Maples at each end). **Q: What if my return isn't threaded?
