After examining a large windchimes from another manufacturer, we were going to purchase it, but decided the selling price was unconscionably high. Additional research prompted us to order the Astarin 48" copper chimes. We were relieved to receive the chimes undamaged, save for a slightly bent suspension hook--surprising because the precise, secure packaging was more than adequate. (Astarin willingly replaced the hook. Twice, in fact, because the USPS returned it with the note "No such resident at this address." The good folks at Astarin paid the postage again and the doubly wrapped, doubly padded, boxed and taped hook arrived today. Hanging the chimes properly is simplicity itself. I am planning to ensure the security of the chimes lest its come-hither tones tempt an otherwise too-easy theft. Our chimes is beautiful to behold, fully as gorgeous as the one three times its price. More significant to us is the quality of the chiming--memorable. Deep, pure, stirring tones; perfect pitches; splendid blending. The sound from each tube lingers an impossibly long time. I have found myself testing this repeatedly to reassure myself that my memory is not playing a trick on me. A two-second adjustment of the length of the cord on the clapper makes it a breeze (ha ha) to adjust the volume of the chimes. The other day a stranger walking by across the street ascended our driveway to investigate the "mellifluidity" of our chimes and compliment us upon "choosing well." (I love the onomatopoeia of that articulation, although its proper formulation is "mellifluousness," which is a lovely word still.) And, yes, we did choose well. And no regret.

It's rare I write a review within the day of receiving a product, but these wind chimes are so best-in-class I wouldn't want another shopper not to know, for their consideration. First, they arrived a week sooner than projected. Their thoughtful inner (mfr) packaging would prevent any possible harm. But once they're unpacked, ready to hang, and unfurled is when the magic happens. The tones of each tube can harmoniously resonate for many seconds after being struck - and all together the sound is simply Heavenly. "Hand tuned" definitely means something special! The lovely powder coated finish looks like it will last a very long time - decades (and the clapper is now a heavy plastic disk, so it will neither chip paint nor deteriorate, itself.) I didn't even have to point these chimes out to others - their heads were turned from far - what is that enchanting new sound? Get them - you'll hear!

Lovely, deep toned high quality chime and a good value. Hangs on a protected open porch and even a gentle breeze causes it to chime ever so softly--very pleasantly soothing. Exactly what I was looking for! The chime arrived well packaged and was very easy to hang right up. Very happy to recommend.

Got this after much research on wind chimes. My husband had been wanting a bigger one with deeper tones. This is PERFECT! And he was really surprised when he got it for Father’s Day!! It is very well made and beautiful to look at and to hear. We LOVE it!

Beautiful wind chimes and wonderful tone. Gave as a memorial and was not embarrassed. Will order again.

This was a gift for my adult daughter’s birthday and was the second attempt at finding the right wind chimes with a low mellow sound. She loves them. They are just what she had been looking for. very fast delivery and packaged well. Very pleased with this purchase.

The sound is beautiful, however there is one problem. The disk in the center is too large, so that several of the chime rods rest against it. In a gentle breeze the while unit swings so that there is no sound. It tales a gust of wind to get the disk actually striking the chime rods. I'm wondering if the disk could be removed and sanded down so that the rods don't rest against it.

Had the deeper tones I was looking for but were hard to find. Very happy. It’s quite loud when the wind gets to blowing, so bear that in mind when deciding on placement.
