Works great for watercolor boo boos.
This saved a watercolor painting I was doing where I made an error. Used it on my arches cold press 300 pound watercolor paper. Covered great and took the new paint well.

Fun to use
The media could not be loaded. I used Golden’s Watercolor ground to put a light coating on a watercolor canvas board. I especially liked the rough texture, as well as the ease with which the watercolor pigments flowed on the surface. I am anxious to try this medium on other surfaces, like pulp paper, wood, larger acrylic canvases.

Pretty good product
I used this to add a little tooth to canvas to better accept liquid media. It goes on easy and dries quickly. It did work as intended although was not as smooth as I would have liked it to be. I felt like it started to dried too quickly as it was being applied making an even application difficult. It seems to be holding up well, and I think I may develop some techniques to make it smoother, but only time will tell on that.

Does what it is suppose to do!
I bought this to use on some watercolor paper in a purchased art book with pictures to paint with instruction. But the paper is not well sized (with sizing) and not as thick as another book by the same author. So my idea is to copy the outline, then gesso the page with this gesso, then transfer the image back on to the gessoed page for a better painting experience. Well haven't gotten to that project yet, but know it will work. I have used the gesso on a mistake on one of my watercolor paintings that was being given to someone. I was able to use this gesso to cover my mistake and re-do the area with great results. I am embarrassed as I never fell asleep painting! Well I was using some pen/ ink for details and when I nodded off I made some lines that did not belong! I applied the gesso over the area and it covered the lines. Let it dry and it looks perfect!

Don’t rush the drying time.
I use it on prestretched canvas, 8x10, 11x14 mostly. To get a surface for watercolor it takes 2-3 coats with plenty of drying time between coats. Works quite well with good absorption.

Very nice texture. It reminds me of mashed up paper
Very nice texture. It reminds me of mashed up paper. I added it with a palette knife to stretched canvas that had been prepared for acrylic. After it dried it was a bit too textured for me so I sanded it a little with fine sandpaper and was happy with the results. Painting with watercolour was like painting on cold pressed paper and the colours held and showed well.

I have used it once but will be using again ...
I have used it once but will be using again. It lost one star because I found it difficult to apply. maybe the problems I have with my hands are to blame for that. It did exactly what it said
