I use the shelf to hold my keyboard\mouse for my simracing rig. It is the correct height while in the rig's seat, has enough surface space for everything needed and is very sturdy. Folds down nice and stores out of the way. I recommend this for all simracers who don't have another bolt on shelf assembly.

This product is sturdy and heavy. And easy to raise and lower... when it works. I originally had one that would go up, but not down. There were a few reviews that had mentioned this issue. I was totally frustrated. I printed a return label and heard from the VIVO company. They replaced it immediately! It took me over a week of trying to collapse the unit to get it into the box to return. They did not require me to return it since I had so much trouble trying to collapse it. New one works like a charm. Thank you, VIVO for excellent customer communication and service.

I had a full standing desk, but it was very bulky and very heavy to adjust. This helps just raising my keyboard (with plenty of room for my mouse and a wrist protector) so I can stand during the busiest 2 hours of my morning.I have a pyramid cluster of 3 monitors which tip up so they are still easily visible and gets the job done.I would have given 4.5 stars if it was an option, as sometimes lowering the stand takes a few tries (almost like it is stuck).Overall I am happy with this purchase.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Since I use a laptop which is plugged into a hub with separate large monitor, keyboard and mouse in one location (at my desk) or is simply my laptop and an external mouse in another location (a table in my bedroom), then I only needed something that would rise the keyboard/mouse combo or the laptop/mouse combo, which meant something much smaller than most other desktop stand-to-sit options. This is so great! It allows me to continue working without my legs and feed swelling and cramping from sitting too long. I sit for a while, then stand for a while when I need to. I've had to make a make-shift raised platform for my large monitor when I'm working at the table in my bedroom, but my desk already has a monitor platform, so I'm all good. This riser is easy to move up and down, as long as you understand the instruction of pulling it all the way up first in order to lower it all the way down. It's a little heavy, but I'm easily able to carry it from downstairs to upstairs when needed. I can't say enough good things about it. I'm so relieved to have found it.

Broke on arrival. Unfortunately I didn’t actually need it until after the return date had expired because I built the desk myself. That’s on me but very disappointing how cheap the top is. 1/2” MDF that the mechanism is attached to with short little screws that were all stripped out. It may have been dropped or something too because there is a crack in the corner. Note that I had to actually take the unit apart to discover the amount of damage.

I'm a big VIVO fan of their ergonomic products. I converted my desk into a sit/stand workstation for less than $500 with three LCD panels and a Mac Mini. The missing element was a nice sturdy keyboard riser (keyboard lift) to bring my keyboard and pointers (mouse, touchpad) to a comfortable level. That's where the "VIVO Black Single Top 27-inch Heavy-Duty Scissors Lift" (VIVO Desk-V000P) caught my attention. As I mentioned, I'm a loyal VIVO user, thanks to a sterling QC reputation, until now.Unboxing was great until I unlocked the top from the base and tried to lift the top (from the edges) into position. Disaster struck when five 1.27cm wood screws simultaneously popped out of the MDF core and the locking mechanism fell away, leaving the scissor assembly without purpose. I never send products back if they can be easily repaired (less hassle, less for the landfill). And this problem is repairable, but I don't recommend it.This QC issue concerns product design and manufacturing. It is fixable, but they'll need to design and add a retainer bracket to strengthen the locking mechanism's grip on the top. Otherwise, it's a brilliant product that adjusts in small enough increments for just about any user. It's heavy, and I think the weight adds to the stability of the product—no wobbling! And you really want that for a workstation.Repair: I cleaned out the old holes of debris, filled the holes with Gorilla glue, let that dry, and then reseated each of the wood screws. The fix works for now, and I plan on raising and lowering the riser infrequently.This QC issue is a big strike in an otherwise pristine VIVO product quality reputation. VIVO... I hope you're reading this. You have one loyal customer who is now wary and watchful.Three negative points for what is a huge QC issue that affects value.There are two negative points because the QC issue negatively affects product sturdiness.But solid 5*'s for comfort. It's great when it works!

The platform is big enough to hold the keyboard and mouse with room to spare. It is easy to open and close. It has several hights to choose from. I can go from sitting to standing in seconds. It was a good purchase for what I wanted and that was to stand and work for more time during the day. It is a heavy weight platform and built well. It is very sturdy, doesn't shake when typing.
