32 Third Graders and One Class Bunny: Life Lessons from Teaching (A Gift for Teachers)

fun to read
32 Third Graders and One Class Bunny: Life Lessons from Teaching is by Phillip Done. Phillip is a third-grade teacher currently teaching in Budapest, Hungary. Prior to that, he taught in California. This book tells of some of the things that happened to him and what he would tell new teachers coming into the profession. It is told with humor and truthfulness. Only a teacher can truly appreciate some of the home truths that he gets from his teaching. He gives real examples of things that happened and what third graders are really like. The book is fun to read and it should hit every grade level. What he says the third graders do, I could easily relate to my 7th and 8th graders from the past. They are all simply kids who are hungry for attention, love, support, and learning.

Totally fun and funny
From page one I started chuckling. Ten pages later I was spurting coffee out of my nose, laughing so hard that my stomach hurt.Mr Done puts the reader in the classroom amid all riotous kids speaking unhinged thoughts. Hilarious reading

Easy and thoroughly enjoyable read
I picked up this book while working our school library's Scholastic Book Sale fundraiser. I was looking for something I could pick up and put down in between customers. Unfortunately, I couldn't put the book down. I am not a good reader, usually lean towards books with short chapters and rarely finish any book. I finished this book so quickly I was shocked and sad when the last chapter came to an end.I am not an educator but I am a parent of a very intellectual 3rd grader. He has a male teacher this year for the first time and I read a few passages from your book. He laughed so hard his mouth hurt. I thanked Mr. Done for giving parents a peek-a-boo view into the lives of our kids and the teachers who spend their days with them.It was thoroughly entertaining and enlightening.

Classroom teachers hear and see it all! ☺️
This book was so real - the author did a stellar job presenting the daily routines, jests, and some heartaches during the school days. What I noticed were the classroom routines that transcended time. The teacher’s caring, routines, and empathy were amazing! Well done!

Teaching done to perfection
I haven't even finished the book and feel compelled to write. Mr. Done has managed to convey my first day of school feelings, my last day of school feelings, anxiety over back to school night, and what names to avoid when naming your own children, as well as the battle with the laminator to perfection. I am with him every step of the way on this journey through the school year. By Christmas I predict this will be the most purchased book by teachers and for teachers. I will be retiring in a few years, and this book was the perfect pick-me-up and reminder of why I still love teaching, and still love teaching third grade. Thank you, Mr. Done!

Inspirational and Comical
This book is on my top favorites! Philip Done had me in tears from laughing. I am an inspiring teacher and only have one year left. I picked this book to do a class project on and am so thrilled I get to tell my class about this book. They will all want to buy it because it is so comical, yet it shows experiences of what it is like in a real third grade classroom. Done doesn't sugar coat anything. He gives you real life experiences and reactions. This book is wroth every cent!! I can't wait to reread it already.
