Don't judge a book by its cover
If I'm honest, I bought this book because one of my favourite illustrators designed the cover and because I love chicklit, but the story is just terrible. I couldn't make it through and had such a hard time getting myself to read it. The characters were all so frustrating and unlikeable.

Impressive debut
Late in the day to read this one - but it's an impressive debut by an author new to an admittedly crowded genre. Nonetheless the plot was innovative, the friends/characters I could easily imagine in my own set during my twenties. I did indeed read it over a couple of sittings and found myself delaying my daily routine in order to finish it. I'm really looking forward to reading more by this author. I recommend it - she reminds me of the brilliant Jane Green in her early years.

I didn't find anything to laugh out loud at....
It was an ok read but the drippy lovesick women were just so utterly pathetic. And the men with their equally pathetic attitudes made the whole thing just a bit too tedious for my taste. Sorry.

Enjoyable Fluff
This is nice normal chick lit fodder - enjoyable but not particularly memorable - great for the price. Good for a holiday or sunday read, especially if you don't mind an overly-rushed not particularly believable ending but one where everyone's happy
