Great for intended purpose
I design luxury cards and art items which involve a lot of hand embossing, stitching and more. This board allows me to easily trace patterns and graphics on the reverse of printed media so that I can then develop my designs further. The board is very light and comfortable to use, and the brightness is instantly adjustable which is great as I have light sensitive/triggered migraines. The power lead is a good length to be plugged in on or near a workspace without being long enough to get tangled. I do find the board is most effective away from natural light sources - probably an obvious statement but it’s the first one I’ve used, so I’ll say it for the benefit of others like me. Very pleased with the product for the price I paid.

Works really well through 300gsm watercolour paper
I am absolutely delighted with this lightbox! My wife has one from a different manufacturer and isn't as bright as this one.I needed to be able to see intricate detail through 300gsm watercolour paper and it didn't disappoint. It easily accommodates Uk A4 paper (and US 8.5 x 11 inch) which I hold in place with a little masking tape. It's very light and good to use on the move.Any USB port will power it (but not charge it)I used a USB power pack I have for my smartphone so don't need to be tied to a laptop or stationary position.I have had lots of devices (tablets/graphic tablets etc) fail with this kind of mini-USB socket (an inherent problem with the USB factor, not the device) so I put a little extra masking tape on the lead to secure it to the edge of the box, as you'll find yourself rotating a lot as you are drawing. This is not to say I have had a problem, just a little preventative tip for you!I've attached some images showing the lightbox in use with the 300gsm watercolour paper. If you have extremely fine detail, just touching lightly with a finger in the adjacent area helps to get precise contact with the surface and bring more detail through.

Not at all bad for the money.
I didn't expect the world at this price, and I'm not at all disappointed. It even got a bit damaged in transit thanks to Amazon's useless packing of stick the item in the bottom of the box and stuff some paper on top, so when it took a hit to the bottom corner, it broke off the corner of the board. I'll just patch it up with my heat gun, as for the price I am not going to go to the hassle of returning it and running the risk of them doing it a second time. The thing itself is very simple, a clear but of perspex with a black border hiding the LED strips along three sides. I don't have any interest in tracing things, I just wanted a basic lightbox, and while this does not give a consistent light all across the screen, it does it week enough for what it is officially used for, and even for my more elaborate use. I am made up it has a power button, it seems such a luxury at this price point, when you can quite easily plugin and pull out the USB leat to achieve the same thing, but it has a nice touch-sensitive power button and that makes me happy. So to sum up, it is brighter around three edges, but the overall brightness is crisp and bright enough for both tracing and looking at negatives and slides. If you demand equal brightness across the whole screen, well go spend some more money. It is not the most robust construction, as Amazon has proven, but again, for the price, you cannot really expect a metal frame. So cheap and cheerful, now let's see how long it lasts eh?

Extend your photography
Excellent product which is very easy to use. Couldn't be simpler to set up, just plug in to usb plug or computer and away you go. Touch control of on/off and light intensity, useful rulers down sides. I use it for photography as back light for leaves, flowers, etc in fact anything which will transmit light through it resulting in wonderful shots showing amazing details of veins, etc. Lightweight so could be used in field running from powerbank, etc. although I mainly use indoors for macro photography. Bought this on impulse but now very glad I did and happy with it for opening up new ideas and extending my photography. Good price and fast delivery too.

Great product
I bought this to use for my diamond paintings and it’s been a real help! It’s super lightweight and thin making it easy to carry around but also prettt sturdy. The brightness is easily adjustable, I find I never need it at max brightness (at max it’s super bright!) It doesn’t have a diffuser like other light boards so no distracting little dots on the screen. My only negative would be that the cable is a bit short my my liking and feels a little loose when connecting to the board but this hasn’t caused any issues with using it. Overall, happy with this purchase!

Light Box seems to work well - early days. Despatch packaging however needs to have more protection.

Used for embroidery - great, but control button is awful
I can't really complain for the price, as it works just fine. However, the button is very poor. It doesn''t repond or responds in the wrong way half the time. I also have to use the pad with the button in the lower right corner as this is the only way the cable reaches my laptop, which is not ideal as I hit the button with my arm. Still, overall I'm satisfied, and since I only use this to trace embroidery patterns from paper to fabric, I'm not too fussed.

Tablette extra
