I am a long time lover of Discovery Toys--quality is amazing! My children had one of these in the 90's and loved it! I just bought a few things for my grandson that I knew he would enjoy now--this ball and the teether. At 9 months, he loves having the ball rolled to him so he can pick it up, squeeze it and get that wonderful vanilla smell, bite it and drop it (not rolling it back to me yet, but will soon). It's easy to pick up and the sensory feedback on his hands and face as well as the smell is so perfect for developing brains. I will definitely buy more for future grandchildren!

My grandson who is 8 months old LOVES this ball. It has a great texture and it is easy for little fingers to grip. He likes to run his fingers over the nubby outside and it is easy for him to hold and grab. It has a squeaker, and when you squeak it, it has a little puff of air that he finds amusing! Then there is the light vanilla scent that is still there even though the ball has been out of the bag for several months. The only problem with it is keeping it away from the dogs. They want it SOOO bad! This has been a great toy for him. So glad we have it!

At first I was worried it would be too small as I wanted a 7" ball. But it's actually a great size and I think it would be too heavy if it was larger because it's a nice dense material, very durable! My 2 boys, ages 3 and 1 love it!! I mostly bought it for my 1 yr old. He plays with it all day long since he got it. I was worried about the smell and the squeak but it's not an overly loud squeak or strong smell. Just right! The spikes aren't sharp either, but just enough for texture and grippiness. I love the color too. Definitely a big hit and worth every penny! I went ahead and bought a larger one too but honestly, 4" is really a great size. But I have 2 boys and they're kind of obsessed with toy balls and my son is always playing with one all around the house! He keeps gravitating towards this one though so I definitely am glad I bought it. All the reviews helped and are very reliable! You won't be disappointed!

I was hesitant to buy because of the price and was surprised at the size when it arrived. All things considered, I am super happy with it. 7 mo granddaughter loves it. Easy to grab and play.

Pretty indestructible No whistle piece yet it whistles so great for my dogs.

Baby can grip/hold ball

I have had one of these in the baby toy bin for 25 years and it still smells like vanilla. Babies and toddlers love it. Washes up well... Purchased this one for the new grandbaby. Every house with kids should have one... However super surprised that the price is substantially higher.
