Came CRACKED, and leaked from flange
I'd give it -5 stars if I could. Here's why;Item came quickly, since it's Amazon Prime. That was nice. Excited to get rid of my pump's hammer (or KLUNK, KlunK, klunk...), when it shut off... getting pretty annoying. So, I unbox and go to install. Before I do, I make sure to have parts in case it doesn't work out. Thank goodness I did! It says it'll fit 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" PVC... well, that's crap. 1-1/4" is what I have, and the rubber connectors are too big. I tightened them down, but it blew apart when my booster pump reached 50psi (I figured I'd test it first). Sadly, that wasn't an issue as I figured I could glue couplers onto the unit if it worked. I never got that far. The flange that screws together leaked, literally looked like a super-soaker out each side. I tightened the flange screws, maybe a 1/4 turn and noticed cracks at each corner (see pictures). Well, that's BS. Now I'm actually pissed/frustrated. I didn't glue it in place, since it's cracked (and leaking a drip, drip every second - once tested again, or just before it blew apart). I decided it's going back for refund, and I'll simply make my own anti-hammer / anti-klunk device.... I know this is more for a sump pump. However, I figured it'd help my booster pump. I was wrong, maybe I expected too much of it, I don't know. I just know it gets -5 stars for what I wanted to use it for. So be warned, it's not to be used as a booster pump's anti-hammer device. Or if it is, make sure to glue it in place so it doesn't come apart.

Not worth the price
I switched my $10 check valve out with this one and it did not reduce the clunking noise at all I mean at all still loud as it was before I should of just stuck with the $10 one I got at Lowe's.

Does NOT work!
This thing is absolute garbage. Since the day I installed it, the noise it makes is far worse than the conventional check valve it replaced. Every cycle it makes a HUGE clunk heard throughout the house and the pipe then shakes and vibrates, reverberating the the noise. After about two years, it is getting worse and worse. Even wakes me up at night. There is something inherently wrong with the design. Will have to try something else and send this one to the landfill.

Love it. No more loud clunk when the sump ...
Love it. No more loud clunk when the sump pump cut in. I mean it was really, really loud. It made me jump every time. We don't even hear it now. Heaven!

Much better.
Works a lot better than the previous standard valve did. This one still has a noise when closing, but it is much more subtle.
