How to Write Successful Fundraising Appeals

This is a great resource for anyone that works in nonprofit development, or really any position that requires donor solicitation. Not only are there dozens of different types of appeals that are explained, but the samples provided give you a great framework to create your own appeals. The only downside is that with technology constantly changing, the editors need to keep updating the book to include discussions on social media appeals.

Useful book, but I’m really NOT impressed by the writing style. “A quick and dirty quiz”, “a quickie tour” “what geeks call collectively Web 2.0”, all within a couple pages, really? Not professional at all and offensive.

An essential tool from a gifted writer. I use Mal's wisdom & techniques all the time in my fundraising consulting practice and personal writing.
