Nice for a teenager or adult
I got this for my daughter-in-law. I thought it would be nice for her to have her own advent calendar as well as the grandchildren. It looks lovely, well presented and wrapped. But not what I fully expected. I thought the sayings/thoughtful suggestion would have been rolled up like a pencil, with a number on them, so one could search which to open on each day. However they are all just folded and left for one to pick. I am still pleased with it, as it is so well presented and not bad for the price. A nice twist to an advent calendar and better than chocolate!

Not sure what to think yet.
Wanted to write a review to help other people like me not sure what to buy. I haven't used it yet, but have peeked at the first 5 or 6 cards. Production is a mixed bag. The outer box looks very attractive, and is a nice hefty size. I wouldn't have any issues with giving this as a gift. Once it's unpacked the box isn't strong enough that it's something you could keep and re-use, it's a little floppy. But as packaging it's beyond expectations. Inside the box the jar is generously packed in tissue. This means the box is quite over sized. The jar inside is a pretty standard jam jar type shape. With the hessian top it looks rustic and nice, but of course that has to be removed to take the cards out. With the outer box, fabric top, and jar itself I'm not sure how I will display this in the house while I'm using it, and not sure what is intended. None of the 3 options seem quite right. Probably I'm the only person who didn't realise these are very thin card, folded up and wedged into the jar. They have a glossy, magazine-type finish. The pictures here show how they pack inside. Each card is not something you'd keep in itself, but definitely can be put back in the jar and re-used another year. As far as I could see there is no particular order, and you just pull out from anywhere. ***SPOILERS FOR CONTENTS*** I won't spoil too much, but wanted to mention one in detail. When I took out the very first card I was very disappointed, the instruction was to play a boardgame with friends and family, but I am disabled and will be spending Christmas alone. Christmas being a difficult time is part of the reason I wanted a mindfulness calendar. It's disappointing to see an instruction that assumes so much, but also that references what many people find the hardest to cope with over the festive season. I do hope that I won't find any other cards this upsetting later on in the jar, but don't want to search the whole thing as that will spoil it. I've made the decision to use this card as a learning experience when it comes up, but didn't expect anything this challenging to come up in this set. In the handful of cards I looked at, actually none were as good as the example card given in this pictures in this listing. Most were taking a very specific activity many people will be doing in the lead up to Christmas and suggesting doing it mindfully (eg, wrapping presents). Okay if you haven't already done it, are able to alter your plans to do it that day, assuming you're planning to do it at all and have done the shopping, but could easily be impossible. I was expecting more generic activities that could be fit into anyone's day. A few that I liked more were about practicing gratitude, or journaling exercises. I suppose it is very difficult to come up with 24 unique mindfulness activities that are all useful and worth doing, and I'm now going into this aware that the days will be inconsistent and some I won't do or will put off till a later day. I'm a bit disappointed because that's not what I expected when I bought the calendar.

Brilliant idea - Amazing product
Amazing Idea . Everyone in our house gets their own calendar . This one is for me . Comes beautifully packaged and includes a Christmas card that is signed in biro by the actual person who hand packed your calendar . Such a lovely touch. Christmas can get very stressful and these wee cards will definitely help avoid that happening. Anyone who needs to practice mindfulness will love them. Anyone who wants to practice will as well. And those who don’t want to might just change their mind when they try this calendar . Amazing price , would make an awesome gift , and really helps your mental well being

Something different
I bought my mum one of these too, so we could do them and talk about what we had done :) Liked: something different as an advent calendar, colourful shiny cards with lovely prints. I have just taken them all out and re-arranged them ready for next year :) Disliked: Jar just plain with a sticker on, it's like a jam jar really, and the fact one of the cards has Happy New year 2018 (not sure if these were an old batch for last year as it was on one of the very last dark coloured cards :( But am still putting it back in the jar. All in all good although I would have probably paid a tenner instead of fifteen each, and most advent calendars have 25 windows to open, whereas there are only 24 cards in this jar.

Mi è piaciuta molto la confezione, sia la scatola che il barattolo in vetro, adatta per un regalino. Non posso dire ancora nulla sui bigliettini e le frasi perché non posso aprirlo, ma credo che ne comprerò anche uno per me.
