Extreme Grandparenting

This book was very inspiring for me. I’ve been in a place of discouragement as a grandma. This book lifted my spirits and helped me to understand the vital role I play in my grandchildren’s lives. Highly recommend this book to other grandparents.

I have 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 3-14. Some of them were born my grands and others became my grands when they were adopted into our family through marriage ( then legally adopted). I wish I had read this book prior to all of them being born. I have always loved them and crave their presence…but I never saw the significance my role could play in their life. It is never too late to invest in them and pray for them.

A lot of hype I thought. Every grandparent I know who is a devout Christian is well aware of the impact they have on their grandchildren. Non-Christians may gain something , but I doubt if a non-Christian would be interested.

Mostly a good read and informative information but covered a lot of issues and family dynamics that I was not involved in or needed.

I used this book and the video course for my Sunday School class, and everyone had nothing but GREAT reviews and comments about the content. I've lost the videos (I may have lent them out and just forgotten). It is WORTH every cent at twice the price! I wish I had known these things as a young married man BEFORE kids...it is that good!

This was an informative read. Most of the information was common sense, but that may not be the case for every reader. Overall, the book taught how to be an effective grandparent without overstepping boundaries. Regardless of how common sense the information may be, I still recommend new grandparents read it to fill in any gaps.

This book was very helpful to me. It gave me a point of view from a child's eye and reminded me of my own grandfather. It brought things to mind as I saw them then. I think I will be a better grandmother now as I thought my grandfather was the best. I will be coming from where he was. My granddauther and I are already on to a better relationship.

Great perspective here on the long-term impact good grandparenting can make in the lives of our grandchildren. The advice is both wise and practical -- and I would think, useful for uncles and aunts, also.

If you really want to make a difference in your grandchild's life, read this book. It isn't your typical grandparent book with lists of activities to do with your grandchild. This went much deeper and covered many topics on how to be an involved grandparent and have a positive influence on your grandchildren.
