Striper Strategies: Surfcasting Methods for Catching Striped Bass

If you're new or intermediate, this will help your skunk. The knowledge is helpful and after applying it, it put me on more fish that I normally would have. Especially fall run fish. While some of this information is online, sometimes it's nice to have it readily available in a book!

If you are a fishing fanatic and your only goal in life is to catch trophy size stripers this book is for you!To the average fisherman who goes out a few times a month wants to be smart and bend the rod a number of times then I'd try a different book.A large % of this book is about catching, caring, tanking, and using live bait. To the average fisherman this takes up to much time and money and carrying equipment.There is nothing or very little about tides, moon phase, wind, storms, reading the beach, etc. Bucktails accounted for 5 small paragraphs (just over ½ a page) of literature.That amazed me for such a great bass lure. If you have the time to skin an eel and wrap it around a plug by all means buy this book. This book has some good stuff in itAnd some is vague, but this book is not for the average fisherman.

... this book is a good start. this book will help you catch fish. it is easy to read and understand and has the necessary info to help the newbie get started or the old hand a few new tactics to use. info about baits, seasons, lures. it is a good book on the subject and could make the difference in having a fish in the cooler or just ice.

Muller takes you step by step through the various methods, baits and lures needed to be a successful fisherman. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in fishing, whether you're just getting started or have been fishing for a while and need a refresher course, or just want to pick up a few pointers. Keep it on your shelf as a reference guide.

The book was very entertaining as well as being informative. It explained in good detail what someone needs to know about fishing for Striped Bass. The author covered everything from plugging as well as fishing with live bait. I feel it is a must read for those interested in fishing for Striped Bass.

Great book. Taught me a few valuable tips that I plan on using come spring. The author was very detailed in his wording along with some comic relief. It made me feel like he was one of my fishing buddies. aaa+ for this book

I read this book through in a few days. Awesome tips and fishing stories, I will buy another from the same author. Great recommendations for lures as well, although they're spread out so I had to dog ear half the book so I could find the lures I wanted to buy next time I went shopping. Recommended for any striper fisherman.

DJ's 2nd book covers all that the first book offered and a bit more , especially using bait. same easy reading style that made the 1st book enjoyable to read. Again, a great reference that you will go to time and time again. you do not need another book after you have read DJ's two great books on NE surfcasting for stripers.

very good books but I was searching for a book with a lot of graphics to explain surfcasting. that book is the best so far on the 4 books I bought on the same subject.
