The side that goes on the floor appears to stick better than the side that attaches to the rug, however... we brought because my goofball rottweiler would run in the room and mess up the rug even though we tucked it under furniture.. he's just top heavy.... the rug has been down 1 week with these pads and it hasn't moved an inch... and its In a very high traffic area of the house.. I'm super impressed.

I bought these with the hope they would help stop my daughter's rug from moving around on top of her carpet. They are clearly advertised to work on carpet (I triple checked before buying) so I thought they were worth a try.Effectively they were useless and just had no adhesion or grip against the carpet. Although they are like a strip of thick rubbery double sided tape one side (the side that says to face up against the rug) is stickier than the other (against the floor). I did experiment slightly and the upper side did have some adhesion to the carpet but the other side in turn then did not stick to the under side of the rug. So I was still left with a rug moving around!I had the correct number for the size of rug (more than suggested in fact) and tried all sorts pressing down etc to try and get some form of adhesion but it just did not grip.The carpet does have a relatively deep/soft pile (but not silly) so if you're looking for something to stop a rug moving on a carpet, such as in a kid's room like me, don't buy these. To also add both the carpet and the rug are brand new so no possible issue with surfaces not being clean etc.From the design and stickiness factor I suspect they work very well on laminate, but that's not what I bought them for so I have to give them a one star review.

Brought this product to stop my daughters rug from slipping on her bedroom floor.The adhesive strips themselves are a good size and length and very easy to use, stuck perfectly to the underside of the rug and then to the floor! This was a few weeks ago now and the rug has remained perfectly in place with no issues! Very happy! Would definitely recommend for a wooden floor, obviously have no idea how they would work on other surfaces or if they will mark the floor when removed?! Although i am not too bothered as the floor will need re sanding and varnishing soon but may be an issue for others.Overall I’m very impressed though, perfect for what I needed!

I'm going to be 'that' person... Too sticky!!Peeling the backing off was a little tricky, some tabs to grab would be helpful.Used on a large rug on hard floor, stuck like glue. Glad we got in the right place peeling one side of the rug over at a time to remove the cover to the pads. I can see someone putting it in the wrong place and having a tough time moving it once it's welded to the floor..

At first I absolutely loved this product - however, I have a great dane who likes to run through the living room and causes the carpet to move across my wood floor - so a real test on durability. These lasted about 4 days and then became unsticky and stopped working. Shame for the price paid as I had high hopes for these. Easy application, poor durability

I bought these for a new rug in my living room where I have solid oak flooring. They stick to the wooden floor really well. They only stayed stuck to the rug for about 3 weeks before coming off completely. I'll probably end up re sticking them to the rug with some strong double sided tape. I was tempted to buy more for another rug I have but I think ill look for an alternative product.

Bought these for my elderly grandparents to secure some rugs on hardwood floors, as I noticed they were intermittently tripping on the corners. Very durable, and do what they say!
