Great value - easy to install - works like it should.
I used this for a trip where I was riding one bike from Seattle to San Diego, and then riding back on a different bike. This worked perfectly on a BMW R-Nine-T and a Kawasaki KLR, and I expect it would work well on any bike with a standard throttle set up.I have used the slightly less expensive throttle locks that are all one piece/plastic and don't have an adjustment screw, and this is FAR superior. The one-piece ones don't work for me, but this is easy to adjust to just the right amount of tension to hold the throttle in position. It's excellent for allowing you to relax your throttle hand and maintain speed on the highway. It is NOT a cruise control though - it will hold a specific amount of throttle, so if the slope of the road, the wind force or anything like that changes, your speed will change as well. That said, for the price and ease of use it can't really be compared to a true cruise control.

Fits The Bill As Advertised - Handy Accessory For Sure
With the exception of the silicon ring, the product was very easy to install. On my BMW K1200R Sport with grip puppies installed, the ring took a great deal of manipulation with a screwdriver and needle nose to get into position. Once in position, the ring was narrowed by the thickness of the grip. That limits the space the device operates on. Hence, the 4 star rating for "Easy to install X". This issue may be caused by the use of grip puppies. So, please be advised. When put into use, it took a bit of adjusting to get the set screw at the correct level with the puppies so that the throttle would hold. I also noticed that the cruise would frequently turn a bit crooked. This concerned me due to the fact that in this installation, the ring was narrowed. I would have to spend time insuring that the set screw was riding on the ring. This may just be an obsession on my part. The suppliers could supply thicker rings with a little more give for thicker grips. That would simplify installation as well as give the set screw more area to work on should the grips become crooked. Hence my 4 star rating for "Easy to use X"I also would like to point out, that if you are using a cramp buster on your right/throttle hand, there may not be a lot of room on the grip left for your hand to rest. You may wish to remove the cramp buster when using this tool. I personally found that to be the case.Once in operation, on a flat surface, and once the set screw was properly adjusted (you may need to change it while moving), the device did its job!!! When I contacted the supplier about the issue with the ring thinning, I was told that new silicon rings were included and not the original rubber rings. They offered to send rubber rings, and I accepted. I have not received them yet.One thing that I want to mention, is the card that was provided was a bit blurry in both text and photo. It was difficult to make out the instructions for installation. I was told that they were using a new documentation supplier and that they would follow up on that. Therefore, it seems that they are not inspecting the packages before they are sent out.Other then the criticisms above, I was impressed with the fact that the item was well made. As far as the design goes, I find myself having to use my right index finger to activate the device. It would be nice if the bottom arm was extended and flared more so that I could use my thumb to push it on as well. For those that are looking for an external throttle lock device, this is an effective tool that is far less expensive than a vista cruise or the other bar end type devices. I believe it may be a bit easier to use as well.Though there are similar items available that are less expensive, I feel that this item is priced fairly. Thanks for reading.BG

Worked as advertised.
Relatively inexpensive compared to competing devices. Bought it about a year ago and it did exactly what I wanted it to do. Let me relax my wrist on longer rides and maintain my speed. I was concerned about it sticking and holding the throttle open, but that has been a non-issue as there is very little resistance when twisting the throttle back.

Constantly in the way
I bought this to help with highway fatigue. It does do the job quite well. There is a learning curve with engaging/disengaging the lock, but once you've got it, it's easy enough to use. My issue with it is that it always in the way when I'm not using it. I have to leave it so lose that it ratlles otherwise, it moves with the throttle. Perhaps a small thing, sure, but it's not my thing. Anyway, I bought the wrist rest ends for the throttle and those work pretty effortlessly.

Great, well made product
I didn’t leave a review right away because I wasn’t able to install it on my bike yet. This item comes with rubber rings that go around your throttle, then the actual cruise control sets on the rubber rings. The rings that came with the cruise control were too small for my grips. The owner emailed me and asked how I liked it and I told him the issue, he sent me bigger rubber rings the next day. Installed the cruise control and love it. Works great, easy to use, easy to install, and looks good. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

Ok product. Great price!
This device is ok. It’s not expensive so, thats good but, I cannot recommend this product. I have attempted to hold the throttle open several times while on the highway but, it only holds for a couple seconds before slowly lessening and speed falls. Even after attempting different positions of tightening and loosening the device I never had much success with it. I wanted to try this product before purchasing a much more expensive alternative. I would recommend that you save your money and purchase one of the more expensive throttle lock products on the market.

First one lasted 5 years
The first one lasted 5 years and worked fantastic. The only reason im replacing is i was unable to buy the little rubber parts, and the ones i had have all been used. About 1/year. So i bought another. Be smart enough to adjust the initial tension Before you ride. When adjusted Correct it should hold the throttle firm. But push back when you roll the throttle down again.
