The best rice cooker I have ever used. The lock is a little off. But with enough attention it locks. Rice quality and easiness can’t be beat! Wonderful machine.

The Tiger rice cooker is easy to use, and consistently delivers perfectly cooked rice. It cooks really quickly. The keep warm feature are convenient for everyday use. Durable and great for families.

It’s my second Tiger rice cooker. The first one also holds the same amount of rice. This one is wider, but shorter. The rice cooker is made of a thinner material. It may be scratch resistant, because the first one has a gray coating. This one is just one layer of metal. It’s lighter and the functions are the same. One button to depress and two lights: cooking and warming. I love easy-to-use electronic devices. The rice comes out well cooked. It also comes with a rice spatula, a hook for the spatula with a special spot to hang from rice cooker, a clear drainage that can easily slide out like a mini drawer for rinsing, and a plastic steamer tray that rests on top of rice cooker under the lid. I love, love, love this brand. One thing about the mini drip drawer is that, my mom broke it because she may have pressed too hard to fit it back in the wrong way.

The overall quality is a very good in comparison with traditional cooking rice with normal pan. However, it's not so good to cook a small amount of rice. The rice becomes dry and overcooked at the lowest layer. I do not recommend for any person who live and cook alone. There is also a perennial problem to clean the cooker properly. However, it's a good deal for a cheap price with the old and classic design of a cooker.

Always wanted one of these tiger rice makers sine I've moved out of the parents. My mother had these (probably went through 3 in the whole 22 yrs of me living at home) while growing up and as long as I can remember, it hasn't changed. (I'm 30 now) so, since the asian store is so expensive, I was going to order whatever rice maker I can find on here. Well, I happen to have found these and got pretty excited! For 1/2 the price sold in the local asian store? Deal! :) always makes great tasting rice when measured rice to water right. I love amazon... UPDATE: it's been 5 months and it's still working good. I clean it with a soft sponge with very little soap just to get it clean and not disturb the nonstick surface. One tip I had to learn myself and my father told me: do not use warm or hot water when cooking rice because the rice cooker will think it's already been hot so it wouldn't cook it the time it should. Happened to me once and my father told me this is why he always yelled at me when i was younger for using hot water to fill it. (Now I understand lol) just for those of you saying it's not fully cooking, this could be one of the problems. Ever since that one time, it's been pretty good. Longest I've had rice in the cooker was 3 days. I wouldn't recommend longer than that because the top gets hard and I'm sure the rice will start going bad then. :)

Just what I was looking for to cook plain rice, very simple to use, wash the rice , fill to correct water line and press the button and rice comes out perfect every time! the retractable cord is also a plus!

I’ve ordered products from amazon many times but never been disappointed like this time. We bought a cooker Tiger brand many years back and we liked it so we wanted to buy your brand again. I was excited waiting for the product until what I received was a largely dented cooker that was supposedly brand new. I don’t know whether it’s amazon’s fault during the packing process, or the carriers’ fault during delivery, or Tiger’s manufacturer mistake but the final condition of the product when it reached its final destination, the customer, is far less than expected or even unacceptable. I have printed the return label and shipped it back to you for refund but this is not a nice experience from Tiger brand at all. Im in need of a cooker ASAP and this just delays and wastes my time. I trusted your brand from past experience using your product which we bought from an in-person store and it lasted for years, also from knowing your company is Japan but this is really unacceptable and disappointing.

Have purchased many Tiger Rice Cookers and this may be my 4th Tiger Rice Cooker purchase. They are so good that I have purchased many as gifts for other family members.

This rice cooker is great. I cook so much more than rice. I like that I can cook something and it stays warm for a long time. I put everything in and let it cook. Great if I need to make a dish for family get together or a neighbor had a new baby. I will make macaroni and cheese take it over and they can eat it when they have time. If you are making macaroni and cheese it's equally about of Macaroni plus equally amounts of liquid plus the cheese you want. Would highly recommend it, oh great for ribs, chicken. I own the 2 sizes.

This was a pretty good buy, not super amazing but gets the job done. What is most important for me is a rice cooker that lasts a long time, I bought this rice cooker recently but hoping to get years out of it. It cooks rice evenly, I find that the taste of the rice is much better when cooked with this rice cooker rather than other brands, which is a plus for me. Overall, I like the brand and quite content with my purchase Update: have been using this for over 2 years, and the inside pot has stuff peeling out of it. This is very strange because the last Tiger rice cooker I bought lasted me years with no peeling problems, I am not sure why this happened, maybe I just received a defective one, needless to say, I will be researching other rice cooker brands for my next purchase
