Lots of great insights!
I purchased both this book and the workbook that goes with it. I have found the ideas presented here extremely helpful in discerning between what is of the Holy Spirit and what is not. The church of today needs this book, as so much humanism has crept into the church. This book exposes the root of that belief system, and helps uncover ways that human reasoning may have crept into your church and your life that you were previously unaware of.But this book is also inspiring and will call you up higher in your walk with Christ. This book is an easy, interesting read, but it is not fluff, unlike much of what you will find in Christian bookstores. In chapter 1: "The two trees" Joyner provides some important insights into Genesis that he will trace through other portions of scripture, all with the conviction of the Holy Spirit and practical application to life.It will take to long to go through each chapter, so here are a few highlights. In chapter 6: "The antithesis of Babylon" Joyner points to where true unity in Christ comes from. In chapter 7: "Abraham", he talks about what true faith is. In chapter 8: "Looking for a city" he talks about what true ministry looks like. In chapter 11: "The fear of God vs. the fear of man" the author explores the contrast between these two ways of thinking and living. This is an essential concept to grasp in order to live a fruitful life pleasing to God.You may not agree with every detail of what Joyner writes, but he has some great insights into the fall in the garden, as well as thoughts about Passover and the blood of Jesus that are worth pondering. He clearly illuminates some of the strategies of the enemy in such a way as to set people free from subtle deception. There was one theologically disturbing sentence in the book that I disagree with, but it is so out of the flow of everything else Joyner teaches, that I will chalk it up to an editing glitch and recommend this book on the basis of the 99.9% of it that is excellent! It is not necessary to buy the companion workbook to get a lot out of this great book by Rick Joyner, but I am enjoying going through the workbook.

Great read
Very incite full and educational on why there where two trees in the garden and why humen nature is what we see today. Man seems to idolize the creation and not the creator, and is completely self centered instead of directing his focus on God and everlasting life as given to us by the tree of life which is Jesus Christ. Excellent read.

Seeking the Christ.
The book is an excellent adaptation of various Bible stories with numerous references to the same. The parts and pieces did come across as sermons but were well thought thru and fairly easy to comprehend. I think the most important part of what came across was that we should be seeking the Lord and not his gifts. We should humble ourselves in that process and avoid getting into the things of the flesh.

Foundational!
I first read this over 20 years ago. I recently felt compelled to reread this and within the first couple chapters was stunned at the depth of clarity, insight and revelation this book contains. This is easily one of the two or three best Christian books I've ever read. And I've probably read hundreds. There is something in here for everyone, old and young believers, or even non-believers. There is solid, foundational teaching here that in some cases blows apart well intentioned, but incorrectly established doctrines and traditions. Most importantly, the main thing is always the main thing, as all teaching in this book points to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. I have read many of Rick Joyner's books over the years and consider this one and The Call my favorites. Highly recommended.

Change us Oh God
This book was excellent. Chalked full of revelation. It made me look at the Garden of Eden differently. I am glad Rick broke it down like he did

Great book
I have heard this book read before so I bought this one for my brother. I haven't given it to him yet but I know from my hearing the book before that it is something that many might enjoy reading.

Highly prophetic book
This book is deep but accessible from start to finish. As a Christian of 40 years standing, I have not read a more urgently needed or razor-sharp insight into the difference between true faith and religion; between life in Christ and an imitation of such. This book has shattered a number of fallacies squatting in my own bruised heart like nothing I have read before, and left me stripped down to the ground in a good way. What he has to say about humanity's entanglement with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, when properly understood, will open the hungry heart to find real freedom in Christ.

The depth of insight in this book is remarkable. ...
The depth of insight in this book is remarkable. I re-read the first chapter several times to make sure I had fully taken in the wealth offered there. From then on, each chapter develops an aspect of the first chapter. I think unbelievers of a philosophical mind will find this thought-provoking, believers will find it confirming and explaining fundamental truth in a way that makes a deep impression.

This is a vital read!
This book is an excellent explanation of why we are as we are from a Christian viewpoint. It is quite tough going mentally (to get your head round some of it), but so worth it. It speaks the truth that is so often lacking today in our 'politically correct' society.
