It will connect via bluetooth to my echo dot, but then when the speaker charge runs out (in about 3-4 hours) it will absolutely Not charge unless the dot is removed. So every time the speaker needs to be charged, I have to take the dot out, charge the speaker, replace the dot and reconnect the bluetooth. I also expected at this price point it would come with a charging cable, but that was not included. This means the echo and speaker will not support Alexa multi-room music. If that is your intent you’ll want to consider a different device** Seems to work as advertised. Just received, so no idea how long it will last and what the battery life is, but sounds significantly better than the echo dot alone. I bought to use outside around the fire pit. Probably fine for a small office or room as well. It definitely isn’t a huge power output full sound, but for my use it works great and sounds actually better than I was anticipating.
