Works as advertised
I stopped making wine and beer a few years ago due to having to lift the 6 gallon carboys and buckets from the floor to the counter top. It was killing my back and shoulders(I have had back surgery and have herniated disks in my neck). We are also getting on in years. Wife and I decided we would like to make wine again, but knew we couldn't for the above reason. Saw this transfer pump advertised with good reviews and decided to give it a try. Works fantastic. Transferring wine from one container to the other on the counter top is now a breeze. Very well made, should last for years.

Works like a dream
We had used the "regular" siphon that came with the carboy and it work so-so and for us was inevitably very messy near the end of the batch. We got to use this new siphon and it was seamless. The motor worked really well and was consistent. No mess, no fooling with the hose to get enough height to have gravity do it's part. The suction was well enough that that was all bypassed. I am so happy that we got this siphon. It made transferring the brew to the carboy super easy. Not dreading transferring from the carboy to bottles.

tubing provided too small for provided racking cane
The tubing provided is too small for provided racking cane---you have to heat it to slip it over any racking cane including the one that came with the pump. It's as if random items were just tossed in without rehard for whether it would all fit together or not. Hose clamps provided won't tighten ... have to use my own. Finally, if this is meant to be a complete setup, where's the ball valve to reduce output flow rate, e.g., for bottling? The pump itself works great. It needs more thought put into what comes with it if it's to be the kit as advertised. And again, the tubing is too small for homebrew sizes including including its own provided racking cane.

Love it
First time I’ve used a pump for wine making. Usually us a gravity siphon. This is quicker to transfer to carboys, quicker for clean up. The little issues are all part of the learning curve.

A handy tool for your home brewery...
So I used my anti-gravity pump the other day to rack my current batch of German Alt beer from primary fermenter to a secondary carboy. Well, it couldn’t have been easier. No lifting heavy containers to get necessary gravity for siphon effect, actually no movement was needed. Just sanitize my gear and let the pump work it’s magic. There was very little mess and done in minutes. Definitely worth the money.

No more lifting syphoned carboys
With this pump I can transfer homemade wine from one carboy to another on the same plane. No need to use a syphon and then lift the receiving carboy back up to my working table. I mounted the pump to a board which also stores the coiled hoses when not in use. The pump is a little noisy.

It's Better than an auto siphon
Well, let me start by saying that overall I really like it. I like the fact that I don't necessarily have to move the beer in order to transfer it to secondary/keg. I like the stainless steel racking cane. I like that it self primes and transfers very quickly. Now what I don't like.1) It's really loud for what it is. I do my transfers in the kitchen and the kids complain because they have can't hear the TV. I also can't transfer when the kids are sleeping.2) You have to disassemble and clean the hoses after doing the transfers. The barbed connection make this task difficult; not impossible, just difficult.3) How difficult would it be to put an arrow on the pump plastic or label showing the direction that the pump moves? I mean seriously. I recommend that as soon as the pump arrives, draw an arrow in permanent marker showing the direction of travel. I spent 10 minutes yesterday looking for the instruction sheet so I knew which hoses to hook where.Don't get me wrong, I like having this tool in my kit. However, for the price this item could use a bit more thought and engineering to make it a 5 star item.

Excellent tool!
This made transferring wine from floor level carboys to table height carboys an absolute breeze! No lifting needed!

Worked fine for wine (warning if adding oak to your wine)
We used it for our wine - worked great; however if you are adding oak to your wine the small pieces of oak got caught in the housing and we had to take it apart to flush out the pieces, once that was done it worked perfect again.
