Komomo Confiserie, Vol. 4

Man, I was so upset at the beginning of this volume BECAUSE GET THAT OTHER WOMAN OUT THE PICTURE ASAP!!!*deep breaths*Seriously though, why ruin such a wonderful moment in volume three with her barging on the scene?!Thankfully she does not stick around long as Komomo definitely puts her in her place. And rightly so given the events that happen!We get a few very sweet scenes of Komomo and Natsu, which was great! We also meet another new character and I liked him overall I think? There were so many intense things happening in this volume that I felt pretty on edge. LOL!Another solid volume in this series!

I've been a fan of this manga creator for a while (Seiyuu-Ka! is a masterpiece) but I connected to Komomo on a spiritual level...The story is simple (rich girl becomes poor as childhood friend is now her only hope..) but the narrative is so enjoyable. The characters are complex (as complex as a light shoujo can get) and Komomo has so many moments where I'm just like "hell ya" she's so great.Also the art is incredible. A long way since Special A, for sure... Warning though, looking at these impeccably rendered sweets will make you wanna bake..

A very nice story with good illustrations. It's a fairly mild plot line. Recommended for light, romantic reading and for those that enjoy food based manga.

Cute but nothing to write home about.
