This inspiring book presents an ambitious approach to work through the Bible in a year. That has not been my goal. I wanted daily inspiration and prayer and this is perfect. There is a daily prayer and I frequently use that at our evening mealtime prayer because often it just fits in this time. (I usually review the prayer first.) I have found inspiration just by opening the book to a random page! I guess I’m not one to always follow the order...I do not even worry if I’m on the correct calendar day! This book might work for many different folks. I was able to view a sample and that helped me make a decision to purchase. I would look at more books by this author.

I have had this book for many years and read from it every day. I will have to get it rebound b/c I have worn it out. I bought the last two copies for gifts as I am keeping my copy. I have written so many notes in the margins that I won't give up my old copy. This book is precious. Ms Fuller is very insightful and wise. The format is excellent. It contains scripture, a commentary from the author and a short quote from a known spiritual writer along with a prayer germane to the reading. This is the best devotional that I have ever read and can't recommend it highly enough.

Often I find myself jumping into the day without even taking a thought for God or time for even the briefest of prayers. But this book, along with my Bible on the nightstand is an instant reminder to take a few moments and center my thoughts on what is most important,---God. The format of the book has one page per day. The reading for the day begins with a verse or two of scripture, a paragraph of devotional thoughts, a short prayer, and a quote from a Christian leader or writer of past or present. If you would like to include a daily reading of the Bible in one year, a list of scriptures are given at the bottom of the page with selections from Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs according to The One Year Bible Readings schedule. You can use your own Bible to find these scriptures and read to that schedule if you want to follow the devotion time with a longer scripture reading. I have only had the book for a month but have already found great help from articles with titles such as "Running for Cover", "A Simple Prayer", and "Honesty with God". On "spiritually dry" days, I have been blessed and encouraged by God's Word and the prayers and quotes of fellow Christians.

This is a great and helpful book,to incorporate into Prayer & Quiet time.Very helpful with teaching, Praying Through The Bible.Well written and a Reliable Resource, no matter the stage of time in your walk ..or prayer life.May you be richly blessed.

This is the best one year Bible reading devotional I have ever read. Cheri’s daily devotionals are wise, insightful, and “meat for the soul.” In the past, I have had trouble finding devotionals that I’m excited about, but this one truly delivers. (I have been a Christian for over 40 years). I look forward to Cheri’s daily entries, and this plan disciplines and motivates me to do daily Bible reading in a way I have not discovered before. Highly recommend!

As a companion to the One Year Bible, this Devotional and prayer guide pulls from one of the scriptures forcthe day and offers an insight, followed by a prayer. I loved having this book to read each morning.

I've had one of these for a few years and I love it. It never gets boring because new insights are revealed every time i read it. I bought this for my daughter to take to university with her and she likes it too. It's easy to read but has a deep message. I like the little prayer starter at the end because sometimes you just don't know what to pray about or how to start praying.

I bought two with the intention of gifting some special person but going through my copy,not the kind I would recommend! I will stick to my desert streams.
