This was a gift. Who doesn't love curling up in bed with a good book? But the lighting in my bedroom was so bad that there was always a glare. I had stayed in a hotel where the bedside light was actually one similar to this and attached to the headboard. We have a modern style headboard that was similar to this and my husband attached this to it using his drill. It was perfect. I especially love that the light switch is a little round touch sensor. When it is in the off position, you touch it once and a blue circle will glow on the button. You can leave this setting on to easily find your light switch in the dark. You touch the sensor a second time and the light turns on. The flexible snake-like neck of the lamp is convenient to aim the light where you want it to go. My husband quickly grew jealous of my light and has now installed one on his side.Great purchase! I wish I had bought this years ago.

My husband and I enjoy reading in bed. For years we had a fixture that accommodated us both well, but several months ago, the light on his side broke. I shopped in stores and online for a good replacement. Having seen the reviews for these, I bought two. The matte black compliments the details on our bedside tables nicely. To install the lamps, we bought a piece of finished molding, screwed it into the studs in the wall, and then screwed the bases for lights into the molding. The lights attach to the bases with set screws. (The hardware to attach the lights is included and easy to install). Now we have the cool blue night lights and as well as reading lights that can be dimmed and directed so as to give us the best reading experience without disturbing each other. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Love this little lamp, in spite of a few things I wish were different.It was easy to install on back of headboard, BUT the damn blue ring light around the power/dimmer button is an issue. First off, blue light has been issue forever as far as being “energizing” and can negatively effect sleep. It should be amber or orange. It didn’t seem a problem when we went to bed but in middle of night it was too bright and annoying so I tried to “touch” it off, and the light turned on scared the crap outta my man (pretty funny)... so today I took matters into my own hands and used black nail polish to cover the band around switch so the silly “night light” is gone.As far as the light, it’s decent color temperature... not too cool, but could be warmer, in my opinion.Love that you can dim it as it’s WAYYYYY too bright on full brightness, but wish it could dim even more, as at its dimmest it’s still pretty bright in totally dark room. Also love that it “remembers” the brightness it was last at so you don’t have to re-dim it every time. Too bad it can’t “remember “ to never turn the blue light on again if you hate it. But the black nail polish on outer ring fixed that and had zero effect on functioning of inner touch button. ( P.s. I do realize you can just tap the button again to turn off the blue light, but it’s too sensitive and you keep cycling through light on/off!)

Just installed these two lights. I read the reviews about the blue light issue but mine work like this - 1st touch turns on the blue ring - 2nd touch turns off the blue ring and turns on the light to previous brightness - if you touch and hold, it will dim or brighten til released - 3rd touch turns light off (no blue ring). Easy install, I mounted them on a piece of oak board on the back of the headboard so no visible holes in the headboard or wall.

Perfect light! Not too bright that it deserves my husband while I read but provides enough light for me to read my book in bed without straining. I was iffy about this light. I touch the button, it lights up blue, I touch it a second time, the light comes on, touch a third time, the light goes off. Very easy to use. My husband put this up on the wall next to the bed. It's great, especially with the flexible neck. I can put the light exactly where I need it depending on how I'm laying in bed. A must have if you like reading in bed and don't want to disturb your husband!

My wife and I both underwent ocular lens replacement surgery due to cataracts. For this reason, we needed brighter night lights to read by in our bed. We did a lot of reasearch on wall-mounted hi-intensity reading lamps, and these lights seemed to fit our needs the best. We have not been disappointed! These lights are extremely high quality, easy to mount, secure on the wall, and easy to control. Their intensity control is superb, ranging from a dim "night light" level all the way up to "rock star spotlight level" (which we tend to use the most). Overall, we couldn't be more pleased! We will see how they hold up in the long run...

Few purchases exceed my expectations, but this is one. The light is a very bright spotlight, but the intensity can be continuously adjusted. I leave it on one of the lowest settings. The blue nightlight is also bright and can be turned off by holding the touch pad for a moment without turning on the reading light. The touch pad switch is silent. When I installed the light, I pulled the power cord through the body of the light and passed it through a hole I drilled through the headboard. The result is a nice clean look with no visible power cords.

Needed a bedside light and this looked he part. Minimal. Black. Metal. Hopefully strong. Arrived on time and I liked the construction. It didn’t feel cheap. The dimmer worked and the button responded to a slight touch. The hardware that it comes with is dismal. The placement I wanted meant it was going to have to be screwed into drywall. I tried the drywall expanders that it came with combined w the suggested included screws and the unit wobbled feably on the wall. Terrible. But I just replaced their screws w my own and it solidly locked into the wall and was firmly adhered. Be prepared to use different screws! Now that it’s installed, it’s working perfectly.
