The item arrived in a re-tapped box. The hub was scratched and dusty as though it has been previously used. The power adapter was not made for U.S. plugs. It is apparent this was an attempt to sell me a used product.

I am an early adopter of Smart Things, before Samsung bought the company and began to apply their blind bureaucratic approach.Each app update has been bug ridden. The hub requires constant updates. It goes off line frequently.If you are using it at a remote location - be very concerned that you will lose contact and need to travel to the site and spend a hour or more working through customer service to reactive the hub.

Hätte den Hub fast zurück geschickt, da kein deutscher Adapter beilag und ich beim Recherchieren las, dass man einen britischen Samsungaccount zusätzlich als Zweitaccount bräuchte, was mein Handy nicht zuließ. Zum Glück habe ich mir dann aber für 2€ den Adapter bestellt. Das Wichtigere, nämlich der Samsungaccount, stellte keinerlei Problem dar. Stand 4'2021 ist zumindest mit meinem SGS20 das Einpflegen des Hubs in die "Smart Things" ein Kinderspiel, auch mit deutschem Samsung Account. Alle Funktionen funktionieren reibungslos und machen richtig Spaß. Ich hatte nach 6 Wasserschäden im Keller jahrelang einen guten Wassersensor gesucht und bin mit diesem jetzt deutlich zufriedener als mit den bisherigen komplizierten Lösungen. Jetzt scannt man nur noch den QR Code ein und schon ist das Gerät verbunden. Vor allem ist nett, dass man über Smart Things alles in einem hat, also auch andere Anwendungen, die nicht über den Samsung Hub laufen.

My initial reason for this purchase was to use it with my Yale Conexis L1 Lock.Setup to my network was simple and pairing the lock was also easy and straight forward as long as you follow the instructions. I can now unlock the door (via Smarthings phone app) to anyone I need to, no matter where I am in the country. This is useful when the family forget their Tags and are locked out. You can add the Smarthings app to any member of your family’s phone and as long as it’s logged in on the main account they can unlock the door from their phone.After reading through the Smartthings community forum I have now added a new app and device managers for the lock. This now gives me notifications of each Tag/Card that opens the door.There are plenty of Smartthings compatible devices (sensors. Lights etc) you can buy that are pretty much plug in and connect.I have some Hive products so I have added the ability for the Hub to connect to my Hive lights and heating.To make this work It’s takes a bit of easy technical instructions to follow from the Smartthings community.Once you’ve set this up you can set automations for lots of things.I have a Hive light coming on in the hallway when the lock is unlocked between sunset and sunrise. This is simple automation but there a lots of other options which I am going to explore and put into place.Will update review when I explore more.Update 26.12.19Things seem to have got smarter.All my smart home devices were either Lightwave or Hive. The hub now supports Lightwave products so these can be paired directly.Also my Hive lights/plugs and motion sensors have been paired directly as zigbee types.I have also some SmartThings devices which as have added.I can now run automations between all my devices.Definitely getting better.

Me gusta mucho el hub. Ya lo conocía y a mi me resulta divertido y útil (si tu tiene más aparatos compatibles).No trae enchufe europeo. Tendrá que usarlo con un adaptador de enchufe UK->EURO.

L'application smarthings ne trouve pas le hub. meme en suivant scrupuleusement le manuel avec la recherche manuelle.Pourtant le hub fontionne, avec clignotement vert et rouge= pret a se connecter.C'est application qui est mauvaise. vraiment tres decu. deja méfiant au vu de la dernière mauvaise expérience mais jai suivi la critique qui le placait en bonne place.

Mejorable en alguno de sus aspectos básicos pero uno de los mejores hubs para utilizar dispositivos Zigbee y z-wave de última generación, yo lo uso para Domotica del hogar y no defrauda.
