A Cinderella Story (Widescreen Edition)

I unashamedly LOVE this movie. It could be because of Hilary Duff (I won't lie).The premise is: Cinderella, but in early '00s California.The most silly thing about this movie is they give Hilary Duff a baseball cap and we're supposed to believe that she isn't adorable.All of that aside: this movie is charming. It's totally silly at times and some of the caricatures are really over-doing it, but that is the point; this is a fun movie made for kids and teens.It's got the same good-hearted message as the Disney "Cinderella" in which the character is truly noble.I recommend it highly!

Who doesn't love Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray?Also I love classic high school stories where the students all look like they're mid 20s.

This is a fairy tale, a "Cheesy Whopper" of a tale, complete with the orphan, the wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and it ends with a happily ever after. No spectacular plot or acting, but squeaky clean and enjoyable for the whole family. Nothing to compare with Ever After, but it kept me watching to the end. It was a fun movie, and a diversion from the sex and smut that usually comes out of Hollywood.

I ordered the "Cinderella Story" for my 7 yr. old grand-daughter who spent the week-end with me. She showed me something in the movie, I started watching it, and I absolutely loved it! It was a very heartwarming movie. It was nice watching a movie with her that she picked out and wanted me to watch it . It's times like this that she will remember. Patricia

Personally I would rate this a 2 star as I found it rather annoying to watch. But my 9 & 6 year old were thoroughly entertained. I'll have to blame that lack of taste on my husband. But it worked for a family movie so I am happy. Also it is crazy to watch this knowing that I am the same age as Hilary Duff and the flip phones used in this movie. Where has the time gone!? Ack!

A fine production. We have the angst of teenagers and unrequited love and mean over the top step mothers. A Good movie for kids and parents alike.

I saw this when I was a young girl and love it till this day. Though it was a repeat story of many many movies and stories before it it was shaped to the world I was living in at that age, that is it's appeal. I enjoy watching it for those memories

I've only seen the first two movies but this one is my pick of the two. Its a great story about making your dreams come true and taking your own life in your hands instead of waiting around for things to change

The movie is working perfectly and i got both english and french audio as i hoped i would. The only little con is that the box is a BIT damaged and as a movie collectionner, it does bother me a bit. On the other hand, if you don't care about boxes, this movie is in perfect shape! i definetly recommend it!

Haben den Film das erste Mal im Fernsehen gesehen und war sofort bezaubert. Es ist auf der Cinderella Story aufgebaut nur mit ein paar kleinen Abänderungen was ich nicht störend finde. Hilary Duff passt perfekt in diese Rolle und ich würde jeden (der gerne Disney & Happy Ends mag), diesen Film empfehlen.5 von 5 Sterne!

Mir hat der Film schon gut gefallen, als ich ihn vor Jahren zum ersten Mal gesehen habe, und er ist immer noch einer meiner Lieblingsfilme dieses Genres.Natürlich ist er seicht und kitschig, aber das sind die meisten reinen Liebesfilme und da es zusätzlich noch ein Teenie-Film ist, sollte man auch nicht wirklich mehr erwarten. Aber ich finde ihn in die heutige Zeit gut umgesetzt und als solches eine der besten Adaptionen des Themas. Da fand ich die anderen Cinderella-Stories in unserer heutigen Zeit schon um einiges schlechter.Für jeden, der Teenie-Liebesfilme mag, empfehlenswert.

Wer hier eine Liebesgeschichte erwartet, die ein unerwartetes Ende hat, ist hier sicherlich nicht gut bedient.Alle, denen Liebesgeschichten mit lustigen Dialogen gefallen, ist hier an der richtigen Stelle.Ich hab den Film schon sehr oft gesehen und finde ihn jedes Mal wieder super.Für alle, die Hilary Duff gut finden oder denen süße Liebesgeschichten gefallen.

...liebe ich diesen Film. Die Hauptdarsteller Hilary Duff und Chad Michael Murray verkörpern ihre Rollen so sympathisch, dass man sie einfach mögen muss. Im gesamten ist der Film einfach sehr unterhaltsam und setzt sich mit so einigen Problemchen der Teenager-Zeit auseinander. :)
