The change from a felt Matt is audible.
The change from a felt Matt is audible. The cork mat looks good and function well on my turntable. However in my sound system the change in the sound was not quite what my system needed. I could hear a more pronounced bass response in my albums using the Gerald hi-fi cork Mat. My system needed some thing that would draw out more of the highs and the detail. The base response in my records did not need enhanced. If you would like more base response in your Turntable and less static than your felt Matt, this is a wonderful piece of gear.

Huge improvement over factory fekt mat. AT-LP120-USB
I cant recommend this mat enough. Im new to vinyl and was gifted my buddies old LP120. I heard that the mat can make a huge difference but i thought that only real audiophiles with high end systems might notice a difference. I listen to a lot of Hip Hop albums and i noticed the bass was a little hallow sounding with the factory felt slip mat. After doing some research i decided to try upgrading the mat for a cheap attempt at improving the bass. From what i read the cork and rubber mixture was one of the better and most affordable options for bass response and sound. I was skeptical when i first installed the mat but when the the bass hit for the first time on my favorite album (Im very familiar with the sound) i immediately noticed a huge improvement and a few couple tracks in i noticed a double bass kick i never noticed before. The bass is much more rounded and natural sounding now. Its also a nice aesthetic upgrade. 5* i highly recommend it.

Quality product for a good price.
The original pad on my Sony turntable was literally disintegrating, with some sort of slippery clear liquid seeping right out of the material, so it had to be replaced. There are various types of turntable pads, but cork is generally considered the best option. No static being a big reason. And since I couldn't find any that were the same size as what I was replacing, cork was also the simplest to modify. All I had to do was lay the original pad on this product, draw a line around the edge and then cut the new cork pad down to size with a heavy duty scissors. Perfect!

Checks most boxes but mine was faulty
It looks cool, it doesn’t shed any particles that I could see. But mine was not even thickness/ flat; when I watched it spin on my boyfriend’s AT turntable I could see it go up and down slightly as it went around. Maybe mine was a one-off so maybe it could be worth the purchase for you. But I plan to return it.Less important side note: The pictures made it look like it comes in a cool paper envelope thing which was a deciding factor for me since I planned to gift it. What they don’t show you is that it’s just thick paper folded over itself and stapled together. A small bummer but ultimately not relevant to the product itself.

Dimensions are off for ATLP120XBT-USB
Sound quality is great and so is the material. The hole isn’t big enough for the center spindle and the mat is bigger than advertised. Makes picking up records harder than it was with my felt mat.
