Lancaster & District in Old Photographs: Britain in Old Photographs

I bought this book for my wife as she was born in Lancaster she has spent a lot of time reading this book she of course dragged me in saying I know this place I have been there I will be happy when she has got to the end of this book. ( Only Kidding )

Did not buy this book for myself but for my mother in law who lives in Lancaster. She loves local history, and belongs to the local history group. Was worried that she might already have this book, but she didn't, and she loves it. Excellent present.

Love learning about Lancaster's history. The city is really coming into its own and showing some civic pride.

There seems to be a shortage of books available containing old photos of Lancaster, so was very pleased to find this one. Well laid out with concise descriptions of some lovely old photos of Lancaster and the surrounding area.

Bought this as a birthday present for my father who has lived in Lancaster all his life. Some wonderful photographs which brought back lots of memories for him.

This was a great book to purchase. My stepson found it very interesting and informative with lots of great old photos. It arrived very promptly.

Living in Lancaster many of the photographs I had not seen before.Nice to be able to look back !.
