You don't need it but...you need it. You will love peeling again. Just make sure you don't get carried away and peel all the potatoes without a plan just because you have a new toy that glides like a hot knife through butter.

This is nice, smooth and easy to clean. Fits good in the drawer and feels nice and sturdy in the hand. Not cheap feeling. Has lasted me over a year plus so far and just as new as the day it arrived.

Worse thing I ever used! Okay there’s something seriously wrong it’s this peeler! I’m pretty upset. It doesn’t peel plan and simple. It’s made heavy, fits the hand fine but it doesn’t peel. I am 72 yrs old. I have used many of these and this is not made correctly. I am not wasting more money to send it back. How in the world can you mess this up?????? It’s a peeler for goodness sake!!!?

This is the best peeler I have bought. I noticed the screws were getting loose so I tightened them. Then it worked just fine. However I did end up losing a screw and buying another peeler. If it starts to not peel very well, tighten up the screws. Screws are available at your local hardware store

Note: If you are right handed and swipe the peeler away from you, this is the one you want.It's fantastic. The best peeler that I've ever used. It's designed for the left handed user only if you swipe toward you.

I have an older version of this and it’s great! So I ordered a new one. It’s a little different. You can replace the blade! The only problem is the blade is facing the same way on the left handed a right handed. I peel going away from me and the right handed one shows peeling up towards you. I checked the left handed one and the picture shows the exact same side. You can only peel one direction. But the left and right are the same!
