Review: Small and convenient - I use this to connect my old hifi setup to a more modern monitor. My Samsung M7 monitor doesn't even have a sound output so Bluetooth is the only option for better sound. However this product allows this. I wouldn't usually write a review but it has decent sound quality, decent battery life and it's 3.5mm jack makes it easy to use. You could use it in a car but I use a 3.5mm to RCA jack. Just make sure the lead is decent quality and it'll be perfect for anyone who wants a Bluetooth receiver. It's also very small - about the size of a mini chocolate from a heroes box but works really well - v happy with it

**Q: Can I make hands free calls through this? Does it allow me to listen to the call through the car speakers?**
A: Yeah it has a mic built in and the call comes through car speakers

**Q: what if i have a male aux? would it work with an adapter??**
A: Yes, the 3.5mm jack slot is a standard female connection so a male to female adapter would do. The item itself comes with a male to male connector so essentially a double end jack plug.

**Q: Would this work on an old sound system?**
A: Further to what Dave said (22 Feb 19), my old mini-system has NO 3.5mm Aux input (just a headphone-out socket) so I bought a quality 2-Male RCA Adapter Cable (or try Amazon Basics model currently @ £6) and it works perfectly.  Also easier to get to on-off switch on the device, etc than using the solid 3.5mm aux adapter supplied, especial if Aux in is at the back of your system.

**Q: Will this work with a bose wave 1v musi system**
A: As long as you have a 3.5mm port

Similar to a Google Audiocast, this receiver works well when plugged in to an older stereo unit with no built-in USB or Bluetooth. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bought in September. Stopped working in December, but quickly replaced by Anker.

I bought this to let my Yamaha Silent Brass play the metronome app on my phone via Bluetooth. It worked two or three times and then just stopped working. I did all the usual stuff like unpairing and repairing, turning every off and on. I tested it with a different phone and with amp and it was the same result. Eventually I worked out that it is working, but is so quiet even with volume at maximum on all devices that it is useless. Seemed like a good solution, was very straight forward to set-up, but it only lasted three months and that was with very little use. Edit to add: after a bit of a false start with the live chat on Anker's website, I emailed and they were very quick to replace the broken one. Updated the star rating in case the one that broke was a one-off and to reflect good customer service. Thank you Anker.
