Checkout a Youtube prior to drilling into marble for the first time
I watched a youtube on how to drill through marble and still messed up a little. The issue is getting the drill bit started on the marble without skipping across the surface and scratching the surface permanently. You seriously need to hold a powerful drill steady at about 45 degree angle and slightly lower the bit. I recommend applying tape around the area that represents the out ring of the hole. This way if you skip across the marble you don't scratch up the marble. The drill bit itself works fine. I drilled 2 holes. It takes about 25-30 minutes, depending on your sense of urgency, patience and aggressiveness. I was boring a hole closer to the side and didn't want to risk cracking the marble so I didn't push down too hard. Its a messy job if you try to keep the cutting process wet. Dipping the hot bit in a cup of water and ice and the wiping off is just as good.

Everything can break.
I had to bore holes in my garage floor. I could not rent a nice boring setup so, I had to use this bit with a handheld drill. The first five holes went fine. The sixth hole resulted in a sore hand and a broken tooth on the bit. Without all the teeth I could not drill anymore. A small rock came loose from the core and got between the teeth, resulting in a jammed bit from the loose tooth. Otherwise a fine tool.

Incorrect sizing.
I can't speak for the quality or durability of this tool, but while it says it is 1 1/2, it is much closer to 1 3/8. 1 1/2 was printed on the side also, so it's not like they shipped me the wrong one. I needed exactly 1 1/2 so I had to return.

Got the Job done
Got the job done and drilled through my granite without issue. It was tough starting the hole even while holding the drill at an angle due to my inexperience. I was wondering if the Bosch with its different diamond layout would work better.

Great Value and quality product.
Enlarged a hole thru my granite countertop in about one minute. Used this in combination with a 4" angle grinder and a Hudson sprayer to keep it wet and cool while drilling. Same day delivery was amazing, allowed me to finish the job quickly.

Works Well
The diamond drill bit does as advertised. Also as suggested on web sites, it is a little difficult to drill granite, so practice first on a scrape piece of granite. This drill bit went through the granite very fast and I used water to keep it cool. I only punched 2 holes, I can not testify to the longevity of this drill.
