Great but surround sound could be better
Product arrived on time and easy to setup. I am happy with the sound but reason for 4 star is on enabling 5.1 there is not much sound in the back speakers. I also wish wires could have been longer. Over all I like it and it is good value for money

Reasonable for 5.1 use, poor for other modes... updated: Get a better sound card!
Update: I'd tried all sorts of "software" tricks to upscale 2.0 to 5.1 (so music would sound better), but to no avail. Then, I decided to try using a different sound card in my PC... disabled the onboard Realtek and purchased a Creative Fx --> magic! Sound is now rich and clear, filling all speakers & the sub, even from a stereo source. Still not excellent speakers, and the amp is rubbish, but they'll do.I bought these as an upgrade to the 2.1 system I was using before, and as long as your sound source is 5.1 (surround) then the speakers work just fine. However, you need your source (PC, DVD etc.) to upscale from 2.0 (normal stereo music) to 5.1, these speakers/amp can't do it itself. This makes listening to music rather poor, because all you get is the front left & right speakers, no sub, no rear. Also note, if attaching to a PC, these don't come with enough 3.5mm to RCA cables, three are needed, one is provided. Also note, the unit ships with an EU power plug and a naff looking UK adaptor. No idea what "sheerness" or "thickness" have to do with these, so reviewed those a 3*'s.

Good product.
It's plenty loud enough - I've never had it on max [25W rms sub, 11W satellites]It comes with all the speaker wires - bare ends just clip into the terminals. Easy to extend if you wish (rear cables are 6.2m long, front cables are shorter). Any gauge is fineI think it came with 1 phono/3.5mm cable, but not all the 5.1 phono leads you may require.Build quality & packaging & instructions all good. CR2025 battery included for the remoteMinor caveats:Watch out for setting the 2.1/5.1 setting incorrectly and ending up with a muffled noise [check it matches your source]When powering on at the wall, it does need you to press the correct channel button. (Maybe volume too).FM antenna lead is passable, although the tuning can be a bit hit or miss.[I've not used SD, USB or Bluetooth]It goes to sleep after a period of inactivity. On the whole I'm very happy with my purchase.

Good value for the money
Sound quality is good and good value for money but the sub woofer crackles alittle bit with the base apart from that it's good

Not very good surrounding sound
I placed the speaker set up in correct places as said on Logitech website and tbh it was underwhelming even when I turned up nearly all the way on volume I didn’t get that surround sound or the feeling that there was people around me I had to buy extra cables to get the 5.1 as only came with cables for 2.1 and had to buy a adapter to make the 5.1 work with my tv for the price it’s just aFew extra speakers and sound is ok I played battlefield 1 with 5.1 Dolby enabled and was not as good as I was holding I will save up and get a 7.1 surround sound with a receiver I do not recommend this probably better with a sound bar tbh

(Nearly) useless as PC speakers -- read before buying
I was really excited about these speakers, and spent a whole evening setting them up, wiring them neatly into the room to use them for my PC. They sounded great and were very loud. And then I found the absolutely massive deal-breaking flaw. After 20 minutes of inactivity, they switch into standby mode. And they stay powered off until you manually switch them back on again. Searching for a solution online, all I can find is others complaining of the same problem, with no answer to be found.Unless you're happy to keep switching your speakers back on over and over and over again, don't buy these. I've returned mine for a refund and I won't be buying Logitech speakers again. So disappointed. :-(EDIT: I have in fact found that I can keep the speakers awake by sending a very low-frequency inaudible 30hz sine wave to the speakers on a periodic basis. Sending a five second tone at 25% volume every five minutes stops the speakers switching off. So I've written an application that runs constantly in the background and keeps them alive in this way. It's really not ideal, but workable, and turns the speakers from useless to nearly good. Unless you're willing to put up with some similar solution then be aware of what you're letting yourself in for. (Though it looks like lots of speakers from other manufacturers seem to have this stupid problem, too...)
