Deserves a permanent spot on your stove. I've bought 3 so far!
I use this: Every. Single. Day. It lives on our stove. So glad I got this. Why don't they just make griddles as stovetops anyways!?Important Note: I'd only recommend a griddle (any) for a gas stove. I would NOT use it for electric, just my opinion. I don't feel like the stove would heat it very well. Or maybe i'm just biased against electric stoves in general...? It's possible. Either way, I have not tested this on an electric stove, so I cannot attest to its use on one.One summer in recent years, My fiance bought one of those blackstone griddles for grilling outside, and we cooked on it alllll summer. I was so jealous and I immediately wanted one for my house, but they're expensive and i'm house-poor, so I delayed pulling the trigger on getting a blackstone for myself.I'm really glad I waited because I found this thing!! After summer was over, I bought one of these griddles for my stove and I used it every night. Now HE was jealous because he wanted one too so that he could grill in his house during the winter, but he has an electric stove, so that wasn't ideal. He eventually sold his house and moved in with me. We seriously use it every night and day. (And since he moved in, that means i've also acquired his Blackstone griddle for outdoors, wink wink, YEAHHH BABYYYY).I've already bought another one for my mom as a gift. She loves it and uses it all the time too. And, I just recently bought ANOTHER ONE for us so that we can have TWO on the stove and cook multiple dishes at once. We make tacos a lot too, so before we had 2, we'd always be "fighting" to see who gets to grill their tortillas first. But now we have our own sides of the stove and we can take as much time as we want. Evil laugh. These are heavy duty and I don't expect to ever need to buy another one of these for the rest of my life, unless, of course, I buy it as a gift for someone because they see it at my house and get jealous. ... and also to decrease the chance that they break into my house afterward to steal my griddle! HAHAHAHALooking back, I really don't know how I ever lived without this. It really helps me eat "real food" for a meal, instead of just pretending I'm a bachelorette and microwaving a burrito or something. Also, before I/we got our griddles and learned about needing to season them and oil them, I always thought that a griddle was dirty and gross if it had the black stuff on it. I did NOT know that THAT stuff is what makes it non-stick. So now when I see a griddle in the back of a restaurant I don't get all grossed-out that it's covered in "black stuff," I know that it's how they're supposed to be.I think I've had mine for 3 years now. I'll have to go into my amazon orders and see exactly when it was. Either way, it's been years, this thing has longevity.

Buy it right now.
Buy this griddle. Just buy it, it's worth every penny. I just bought a second one for my brother for his birthday. I (Supermom's husband) bought this griddle to replace an old teflon coated one. First, my old one kept warping and wouldn't sit flat, second I had growing concerns that teflon could affect the health of my family, especially since it was starting to come off over the years. This griddle sits flat, doesn't warp, and the heavy steel distributes heat more evenly than the old one (I have an old school electric stove). It's very well designed and made- handle brackets are welded on, edges are high enough to prevent spills but low and angled enough to allow a spatula to get under a pancake even right on the edge. Took a little effort to season it correctly, but if you've ever seasoned a cast iron pan you shouldn't have too much trouble. I searched YouTube, followed the instructions (did it on the barbecue grill) and it was a great excuse to cook up some bacon. I recommend using a steel spatula with it, got rid of my old plastic ones (if it melts the edge while cooking, it's hard for me to believe nothing gets into my food). I keep a little bacon grease in the fridge for when I use it, as butter tends to burn more easily. It doesn't take much fat to make it non-stick (wipe it on with a paper towel). I use mine regularly for pancakes, french toast, and fried eggs. The fact that it can be used on the barbecue or on a campfire is a nice bonus too! This griddle is a must, especially if you have a big family like us and cook large amounts of food at a time. I mounted two bar magnets from the hardware store onto to side of a cabinet for storage, although I'm the only one in the house strong enough to pull it off- probably could've gotten away with just one, but have small kids and this is a heavy pan and didn't want it landing on anyone. For cleanup, I scrape it down with a damp paper towel under the edge of the spatula while it's still hot, let it cool, and clean it off with soap and water with a sponge (I use one with a scrubber on one side as needed). I don't baby it, and it's holding up great. I dry it well and give it a light coat of grease or oil before putting it away to inhibit any rust as per YouTube, haven't had any problems with rust. Definitely the manliest pan in the house. I fully expect this to be the last griddle I ever buy unless I get a second one for the other half of the stove, and am confident it will still be around after I'm long gone.

I didn't know what I was buying. I thought I was buying stainless steel. This is rolled steel. It will rust. It is not dishwasher safe. It requires seasoning. It will turn dark. I had to wash it six times with Dawn before it stopped "leaking" whatever that coating is. You know how your hands look after reading a newspaper? That's what my hands and arms looked like.I used it once on my gas stove. I made smash burgers. They turned out beautifully....BUT, I really hate the maintenance involved. That's why I wanted stainless steel.I wanted it to make tortillas. I've had it since February 2021. It took a month just to clean and season it. I've not been too thrilled with using it again. It should be said that I have fibromyalgia. I'm 52 years old. I didn't want something that needs maintenance.
