Good quality ink; good value for money, beautiful, and well-behaved.
I am in love with Diamine brand fountain pen inks. Their balance of reasonable price and high quality have made them a go-to for a large portion of my writing needs. The variety of colors they make is astounding, and many shades have become must-haves for my collection.I gravitate toward reds, and this one is very somber. On the nib, and on the paper while wet, this ink looks exactly like its namesake. Once dry, it has a darker, more formal look to it, imo. I think it would make a handwritten letter look very nice.On Rhodia notebook paper, and the Kokuyo Business paper I use, this ink behaves beautifully; it dries quickly, and exhibits no bleeding. As for water resistance, I can only report what I see in the pictures of others' tests, and it appears to remain faintly after a water dip test, remain somewhat intact and mostly legible after the water brush test, smear very little under gel highlighter, and smear more significantly under ink highlighter. So, it is not waterproof at all, and only slightly water resistant. To my knowledge, it is not formulated to be archival ink, like Diamine Registrar's Blue Black ink, which is a iron gall ink, and waterproof once dry. It's hard to find a shade as nice as this one in any waterproof inks; they're usually black, blue-black, grey, or brown. But it should function well for note taking, letter writing, and journaling. I use it for journaling, personally.

Packing is improved!!
I love this ink!!!I did see several reviews of people having issues with product coming broken. It seems like they switched up their packing, so it came very secure and in perfect condition. The actual ink is beautiful, I have no complaints so far. The quality is amazing. The amount of ink for the value is good!! Important thing to point out to those who don’t know, most Diamine inks are *not* water proof. They do have a “Forever ink”, but there is not a lot of selection in that line. If you are ok with non-water resistant ink, Diamine’s color selection is so big and there’s beautiful colors to choose from.

Great color and flow.
Great ink. I've been using Writer's Blood, but wanted to try something a little more on the brown side. Oxblood is perfect. Flow is great and it is nicely wet. Diamine is quickly becoming one of my go to inks. But, the real reason I bought it was for the name and the amount of reviews ^ 666 ^ at the time.

A Very Popular Dark Red
Oxblood is one of the most popular red inks. If you don't have a bottle of this you aren't really a fountain pen enthusiast. It's dark enough to be easily read even if you have the most common form of color blindness in men - reduced red sensitivity. It doesn't feather or bleed badly. Great on almost any paper. Diamine knows what it's doing in formulating a fountain pen ink.

Oxblood; Anything but Ordinary
I received Diamine Oxblood a good month ago, and determined that it would be best if I were to run this ink through a few of my pens as a quality assurance. Sure enough, the ink is exceptional. To begin, the ink arrived a day early which was a pleasant surprise; I was impressed, well done Marketfair Stationery. Now, onto the actual product... The ink is exceptionally unique. I wasn't looking for the common red, or deep burgundy, but instead a brow-red that would satisfy just about any scenario from taking notes to writing letters home (I am a college student at UC Berkeley, and I adore writing letters). This ink does run slightly more wet than the common Noodler's, so I would reccomend a finer nib when writing with this ink. After putting this through a series of four pens (Nemosine, Lami, Noodler's and a Glass Pen [brand unknown]) I found that the Lami Whisper EF and my Nemosine F nibs worked best with this ink. I will note that my handwriting does run on the smaller (microscopic) size. Most of you by now are just curious as to what color this is exactly; so here's it plain and simple. Dried blood. With a sample of ink in front of my I can tell you that it has primary tones of deep, sinister red and a burnt brown. In dark light, this ink appears more as a black-red, but in the direct sunlight it appears more of a brown-red. If you're looking for a unique ink to fulfill your desires, look no further. This ink has satisfied me every time I've picked up my pen.If I must find one negative aspect to this ink, it would be cleaning. Cleaning this ink from a pen can prove a challenge to an inexperienced fountain-pen owner. It is trickier to clean out from a pen, especially if you are planning to switch to something much lighter than this color. With that said, any red that I have owned has been a challenge to clean out, especially Noodler's Widowmaker and Red-Black Bulletproof. As far as "red" inks go, this actually was relatively easy to clean compared to the others in my collection. So, that brings me to my final words on this pen; unique color, fabulous flow, and the customer experience? Exceptional.

Gorgeous Color
Gorgeous color! Pairs nicely with the LAMY Studio in red.The stability of the bottle offers peace of mind in filling. One doesn’t have to concern oneself in knocking it over.

Darkest of reds, for sinister writing
Diamine’s Oxblood is a great, dark red ink with a great name. Like other Diamine inks it’s quick drying, flows a bit dryer than average, and has minimal feathering and bleed-through. No sheen, no shading- nothing fancy, just dark red ink. Looks good on white paper and fantastic on cream.I like writing with it when I’m feeling sinister. It’s the color of sacrificial ichor staining an unholy altar in a cyclopean sepulcher. Or something like that…
