Homebrew Beer Bottle Capper - Bench Style

I bought this capper in November of 2017 and as of February 2018 we have capped almost 1,000 bottles. I have to say that it takes some getting used to and so give yourself about 50 bottles to get really comfortable with how it operates. I have mine securely bolted to a cart so that we can move it around the brewery as needed. As long as you apply direct and consistent pressure over a properly centered bottle you will get great results. The bell housing seems to need a "break in" period after which the caps come off more easily and don't stick as much as in the beginning. It is worth taking the time and making the effort to learn how to use this bench capper. It beats using the red baron which was our previous capper. It worked fine, but not as quick if you are doing a lot of bottling. The only downside is that the grip is hard plastic and hard on your hand, wearing a padded glove like the type used in lifting weights would help.

It works ok. But when you try to use it, it bends. Be careful or you will get an accident.

This bench capper is easy to use and works great. It really crimps the lids down tight. It's a little difficult to get the bottle out of it once it's crimped because it crimps it so tight, but it works exactly the way I wanted. It's well worth the money. I would definetly refer it to a friend.

Why didn't I buy this sooner. Capped around 50 bottles in about 10 minutes. Definitely mount it to a board so you can clamp it down to your bench.

glad i went straight for the bench Capper...i never even used the other kind afteri read about it may damage the necks. this is very easy to use plus i don't worry about not seating properly or breaking the neck on the bottles

Can it cap and cork? Description mixes corking and capping. Very interested if it can cork wine, cork beer, and cap beer too-?

So far I have tested it on a few beer bottles filled with water. It sealed them without issue. The capper arrived promptly and even came with some caps.
