The Belwin String Builder is a string class method in which the violin, viola, cello, and bass play together throughout. Each book, however, is a complete unit and may be used separately for class or individual instruction. The material in this book is realistically graded so that only a minimum of explanatory material is required. Each melody is interesting and will provide the basis for a fine left hand technic and bow arm. Available in three levels for violin, viola, cello, bass, piano accompaniment, and teacher's manual. It is really good beginner cello book
I am a beginner adult and this is the book my cello teacher wanted me to start in. It is going well and is a challenge learning to play. The book is clear with help of course from my teacher. The lessons give you plenty of practice with changing strings and notes. It is really good beginner cello book.

GREAT BOOK FOR LEARNING CELLO
I am a cello teacher. I prefer the Suzuki String Builder series books, as they give the student everything they need, to progress quickly, and yet enjoy playing tunes, all along the way. A great book.

Highly Recommend for Beginners!
This is a great book for beginners. It's very easy to follow along and really helps build on basic skills. The progression in the book is perfect.

Beginner book
Wanted to learn an instrument as an adult. This is one of the two books that my symphony performing teacher suggested we follow. It's WORKING... I'm learning to play!

There are better method books out there
Nothing wrong with the seller. I just really don't understand the logic behind this method. I gave it a chance. Most other methods out there are structured better. Really wanted this to be a success. Gave it a couple stars because I like that it implemented student teacher duets throughout. Perhaps it works well for certain teachers, but I'm definitely not one of them. I would not recommend it.
