Affordable, Simple, Perfect.
I got this desk in order to start my new Work From Home job. I've never had a work from home job, nor a job that requires me being at a desk for longer than 10 minutes at a time, so I really wasn't too sure what to get. I knew I wanted an L shaped desk. I also knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money, because my job is intending for me to go back into the office once things with COVID are more under control.I liked the look of this desk, but there are A LOT of mixed reviews on it. This was $100 when I purchased it, so I took a chance on it.It came in a perfectly intact and appropriate packaging. It IS heavy though, and awkward. I drug it into my entryway and then opened it there and took each piece individually into my office space, where I laid it out according to how it would go together. The instructions were easy to follow. Take your time with it, don't overtighten your screws, and you'll be fine. It took me probably a little over an hour to assemble it in full. It was a little challenging to flip it upright once it was all built, but I was able to do it on my own.I got my equipment from my company today and I was not expecting my monitors to be so large... That being said, I am able to make it work, I just don't have as much free room as I had hoped for, but that's my own fault. This IS a smaller desk compared to some, but still has enough room for me to fit two laptops, two 24 inch monitors, a lamp, various desk organizers, and have room for my Cisco phone that is set to arrive soon as well. There is AMPLE room underneath for your legs or even if you wanted to put a few baskets or storage bins below. There's plenty of room for my lab to lay underneath it while I'm working, so she approves of it.

Slightly flawed, but gorgeous!
I purchased this L-shaped desk for my 17 yr old son to replace his worn out gaming set up. This product was delivered in a timely fashion, but luckily I was home because it required a signature (was not aware of that). The package is HEAVY!! I'm 5'2", and the package was my height. I tipped the hulking well-built delivery man $20 to deposit it in my son's bedroom. (I have zero upper-body strength). The desk was incredibly easy to put together (46 yr old lite-weight female here). The package is boxed exactly as the step-by-step directions. It is also very well protected. No skimping on the styrofoam encasings. I only needed a Philips screwdriver, with little to no effort strength. All of the pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly!! I put it together in the exact space where it was going. You are NOT going to be able to flip this right-side up by yourself. It is fancy particle board, after all. Directions were super easy to follow, other than typical common sense on position (laminated side vs non, mainly the two curved shelves). The directions are visual. You must pay attention to graphical details. My product did arrive missing 3 of the safety lock bolts (which are absolutely necessary to complete the build) but his previous desk had the same circular fittings so I lucked out by recycling them for this project. Also one of the finishing inlet plastic circlets were busted, but a quick dab of crazy glue fixed that issue (these plastic circlets fill in where cords are to run through on top of the desk, they come with an open/close feature). An added bonus!!! Side note: due to the exceptional packaging, this piece had to be a simple flaw before shipping. There is no way this was broken enroute, it was too well protected. The desk is actually very big (my photo does this piece little justice), tons of counter space realty. It is also extremely heavy, but so incredibly smooth. The actual feel of this desk on your hand as you run it across the top made my heart happy. It does have a slight varnish odor immediately after opening the package, but quickly vanished. I purchased the desk in black and it has a gorgeous wood-burned design (dual-toned black/greyish on black), which is not noticeable in my late-night photo. Upon first view, you assume they are imperfections, but after looking closely you realize the absolute beauty of the dueling color tones. I have used the shelves to house his XBone and his XBox 360, no issues with cord length vs TV position. I would absolutely purchase this product again! In fact, my son loves it so much, I'm going snag one for myself, probably in white.

Follow the instructions EXACTLY.
Great, sturdy, nice looking desk. I found it easy enough to put together, but my husband did not lol. It HAS to be put together in the right order, if you try to get ahead and do something before the instructions say to do that part it won't fit together right. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like to follow the directions and wants to just put it together, you're gonna have a bad time. It didn't require any tools not in the box (except to fix what my husband broke when he tried, he's one of the previously mentioned no-instructions people lol), the instructions were easy to follow, the connections used worked great. It is that particle board kind of wood, so breaks just a little bit easier than I'd prefer, but I expected that for the price. Overall I'd buy it again. Just definitely follow the instructions!!!
