A "MUST HAVE" if you own a 7th Gen Accord!!!!
installed my AEM V2 today in my Stock Accord V6MT not much reviews on this when i purchased this so i thought I'd share my thoughts with you. First the Instructions it comes with can be quiet confusing and will probably end up reading it a few time. If you've installed CAI's before than this shouldn't be much different and if you have not well it still shouldn't be difficult but you might think about having a buddy to help you out.Pros-Very Easy Install-Everything fits really good nothing loose or hanging or anything like that-its AEM and people know these things are not cheap-The incredible music it wakes at WOTCons-No noticeable Performance gain that my butt dyno is aware of-Constantly wanting to WOT my car to hear the music-stock sounding at Idle-$$$$$$$$$$$$$$OVERALLI am very happy with the v2. Steep price yes but Its a quality product and if you have the funds i'd go for it. I cant see anyone going wrong with this product unless you expect huge performance gains with this simple mod. As you may or may not know there aren't many performance mods you can do with this car(AV6MT) as far as bolt-ons go so the little that i can change i'm going to make sure i have nothing but quality products in my car. oh and sorry for the cons list. I couldn't find things that i didn't like about it so the items under cons was something i already expectedI have a clip on YT just search "04 Honda Accord V6MT w/ AEM V2 Intake" should be the first onethanks for reading if you have questions about the installation feel free to ask away and ill try helping as much as i can

Bought for a 07 Acura TL
I bought this for my 2007 Acura TL Base. Amazon says it will not fit because it is for the 03-07 Honda Accord V6 but it fits perfectly. I bought this intake from the great reviews from the TL community and the science behind the V2 intake, and also because my stock intake tube had ripped for the 3rd time which is notorious for that. I had deleted my stock intake resonator which made the induction noise sound loud especially when VTEC engages. After installing this intake all I can say... Is this thing pops VTEC HARRD. I thought deleting my resonator made my induction sound loud but the V2 just made it sound WAY LOUDER. It has a nice throaty growl sound. Now, Performance wise FYI.. I am tuned with flashpro before installing this intake. After a test drive before tuning, I noticed the throttle response was a nice improvement and it picked up so much smoother. After engaging in VTEC it pulled a little bit better. Not bad for not being tuned. Now after the tune is where I felt the difference. It pulls and picks up sooo much better a night and day difference, the J series love to breath. I also noticed my intake air temperature has decreased by 13-15 degrees compared to my stock intake resonator delete. That is pretty amazing for a aftermarket intake. All in all its worth every single penny I never looked into getting this intake for how expensive it is but I took a shot and I'm really glad that I bought it. I recommend buying it through Amazon which is a lot cheaper than any other site. Another thing, you will gain the max benefit with this intake with a tune. It still does really well without a tune but it is sooo much better with a tune.

The cone end actually came smashed....
I just bent out the dent that was there and made it work because i didnt feel like waiting as i had other work that needed to be done that required the bumper out and the intake manifold off..... and the package didnt come damaged, so that was obviously done at the manufacturerI recommend using the K&N filter water repellent sleeve, model RX-4990DK, so you dont get water soaking your filter....And i also got it in without removing the battery, which the instructions recommended, although it put up a big fit in the process.... just didnt wanna reset all my radio tuning settings by unplugging the battery

VROOOM!!
Did you ever do something that you were just thrilled you made that choice? Maybe a grin from ear to ear for a day at a time? I bought this one mod to my otherwise stock Honda Accord coupe, and what a difference this change makes, every day. When you're not 'on' the gas, it's virtually undetectible. Completely stock sounding and quiet. When on the gas (passing gear, full acceleration) it allows my engine to make the most wonderful noise I have ever heard from my Honda. It's like a different car! The power increase is sweet, the new engine tone is very entertaining and certainly not expected from an otherwise very sedate Honda Accord coupe. The wife is no longer entertained, but I get looks and a few furled eyebrows from the the occasional arrogant but unsuspecting passing 'victim' in their luxo-"sports-sedan" (ya, you own the road, but I just owned you). I don't endorse street racing, so please, keep your enthusiasm under control when driving. The fit and finish are outstanding, the filter is great and the installation was reasonably easy (although it to me and my brother in law about 3 hours, because I am slow). Lifetime warranty and great tech support by email or phone if you call AEM during business hours. If you are not sure, about the cost for the value, consider that this one small change makes 10HP more in my car. Other than this, my car is bone stock. If I only got 2 HP more, and all that great engine music, it's worth my money. I probably get more smiles per gallon than miles, but really, isn't that what motoring is all about?Travel happy! (even if it's at 5mph on the I-110 during rush-hour).Steve
