Using pure larch resin with the addition of different metals produces livelier, warmer and brighter sounds than other rosins. This will help produce enhanced tonal volume, greater modulation and carrying power, conveying the individual sound of the instrument without effort, and one-sided tones can be compensated. The bow develops an excellent and even response, with ambient noise minimized. Choosing the right rosin is critical as it is the rosin that creates the sound while playing. Its really good, but not for everyone
Expensive rosin. Its really good, but not for everyone. This rosin fills a special niche, in that it takes a lot of edge and bite away. As a result the sound becomes smooth. For many violins/bows that can be bad, resulting in an unexciting sound, or you may find that you bow is not tracking anymore; you might just slip all over the strings. But if you have a very loud violin/bow, your bow tracks like a train, like mine, then this rosin may just work perfectly for you. For me it increased play-ability and dynamics. Liebenzeller also sells a sample set of 3 different smaller rosin cakes (on their website). Its advisable if you are not sure what rosin might be best fir for you. Unfortunately the silver is not offered as a sample. I like the this rosin, yet I wonder if Liebenzeller has an even better one for me. Unfortunately with this price tag I may never find out.

Very Nice Finish!
I was curious to try this rosin and decided to splurge a little to only realize that it brings out a wonderful tone! I love that it gives a soft , yet solid feel with out the stickiness of a freshly rosined bow.
