This is a nice blade, especially for the price feel solid not that sharp, but I’ll sharpen it up. Very good looking piece.

For years now I've wanted to add a Hibben piece to my collection and I recently did so with this blade. Simply put it's a beautiful piece of steel. Solid construction, expertly sharpened and perfectly polished to a mirror finish. I love the look and feel of it. Masterfully crafted as I would expect and the price was more than reasonable as well. A gorgeous knife.

All my expectations were filled. Great balance in the hand. The balance point is right in front of the guard, so. it is not front heavy. Wire in handle is very strong. A great purchase format collection. Used in the movie Natural Born Killers. I think is is a perfect size for this kind of knife.

Long story. I used to have this knife years ago and when my first wife and I were in financial bind we had to pawn some stuff of ours and my knife collection was one of them. I went back to pick them up later and the store was gone. Never heard anything back at all. Needless to say I was so happy to see this one on Amazon. Opened it up and it is just as beautiful as I remember it. Awesome knife!

Love this blade, comes very sharp and tight. The sheath is functional but VERY cheap leather. It will fall apart easily I can tell. All in all though, not disappointed with my first Hibben blade. Can always get a new sheath. Good price too.

This isn't what you'd call an outdoor knife. I bought an original issue of this Hibben some thirty years ago. It and an old Arkansas toothpick got stolen from my house some time back. Getting this was more nostalgia than anything else. Style wise it doesn't look Bowie. The high gloss steel and wire rapped handle looks Medieval; which is probably the attraction. Knife is 13 1/5 inches long, has 8 inches of blade and an inch of ricasso above the guard. Like everything else commercial today, it was manufactured in China. Just how hard the metal is and how well it will hold it's edge is doubtful. Balance of the knife is very good. The grip is adequate, but I prefer a longer, more secure grip for my size 11 paws. You can achieve more control by reaching over the guard and wrapping your index finger into the ricasso. Like I said, this is a good, impressive piece, but it has no utility and winds up being a wallhanger bit of edged weapon bling.

Always wanted a Hibben knife, and finally got this beauty at a great price! Has a nice weight in the hand, and the sheath is perfect.

The Gil Hibben Highlander Bowie is every thing they say it is. The Knife was sharp as a razor when I took it out of the box. They say it is 12&1/2 inches over all I messured from the tip to the hilt and it is 13&3/4 over all.I have over 400 knifes& swords.

Verarbeitung ist ok. Habe es bisher einmal nachgeschliffen. Robust, aber verliert schnell Schärfe. Die Lederscheide ist sehr steif und das Messer gleitet am Anfang nicht gut hinein. Nach etwas Behandlung mit Lederfett aber kein Problem. Hoffe die Rostbeständigheit hält was man verspricht.

Nice and solid. Feel's great in the hand. Sheath seems to be quality leather. Arrived sharp.
