Gator Frameworks Microphone Stand Clamp-On Utility Shelf with 10 Pound Weight Capacity, 15" x 11" (GFW-SHELF1115)

I had a need for a second table-like surface as part of my laptop mic stand. I use a QSC Touchmix-16 and a laptop mic stand is perfect for that mixer. Since I made the move to a dedicated router for wireless connection to the mixer (highly recommended btw) , I had to set up a second mic stand-turned router holder. Then I saw this shelf clamp-on device and knew a way to reduce the gear I haul. It works perfect. Easy to clamp on. Sturdy - although its only holding a very light router so I can't test the weight limit. Easy to pack up and store. I would buy again in a heartbeat if I lost it. Highly recommended.

I have mine hooked on to a tube frame shelving unit next to my desk and other instruments. It is ROCK SOLID. I can play a drum machine (drumbrute impact) on it without it bouncing around or moving. My cat can easily SIT on that drum machine and jump off of it (no worries, I use a decksaver just for the animals) The weight limit must be for using on a mic stand bc I have not found it yet when it's attached to a big thing that can't fall over. Do not get a cheaper brand, gator is the best for all your stand needs, I picked it bc their speaker stands are under my monitors and they are NOT big enough for my 8" monitors but they're as sturdy as the day I got them. I cannot recommend this little shelf enough if you need more surface space anywhere near a tubular frame, of which it can fit a WIDE range of sizes, maybe a bit larger than advertised.

I host a podcast with some friends and we also record the video for YouTube. I was trying to find some sort of teleprompter-like solution so I could see my cohosts, guests, and notes without having to look down at my laptop on the table in front of me. I couldn’t find anything that met my needs and wouldn’t break the bank for a show I do as a hobby. I came across this stand it was just what I needed! It will hold my 15” MBP and attaches to the center post of my tripod. It’s sturdy and I don’t feel like I have to worry about it slipping or the laptop sliding off. It’s not the same as a teleprompter, but I can at least see my screen and continue to be somewhat looking at my camera. I highly recommend this great little shelf.

The quality of material is very good, welds look good and seems very sturdy. The clamp looks very sturdy and size can accommodate most small mixers/wireless mic receivers/ipad or laptop.

This tray works perfectly. It attaches to your stand and can be secured firmly so that its stable and safe to put your gear on. I use mine with a projector table tripod stand, and place my MacBook 15" on it, and have no worries about the stability. My stand has an extra thick tubing size, and I was worried that the tray wouldn't fit around it, but it opens up enough that it slipped into place. Unrelated to the quality of the tray itself, I bought a roll of Velcro strips, which I cut to size and use to further secure my laptop to the tray, not because I don't trust the stability of the tray itself, but to guard against someone accidentally bumping against it.

Every day, all day, I use 4 machines: Desktop and 3 laptops. The laptops sit on a music stand that has 3 shelves. Two are this item. They're great. I've been using them for years. Super sturdy, no worries about them moving around or falling off. The only "problem" is that the shelf is really a shallow tray, recessed by a few millimeters, so cables that plug into the laptops would get strained by the shelf lip. So I put 7mm sheets of high-density foam on top of the shelf, cut to fit in the "tray" (under the laptop, obvi), which makes the bottom of the shelf tray flush with the lip. And the foam keeps the laptops from sliding around. It's perfect. Everybody should have this.

I use it as a tray for plein air painting. It will clamp to the tripod of an easle via the screw style vice. Works great. Also holds my old laptop, were talking a big lunky piece of junk with no problems. Highly recommend. Also, ive had to clean it with water, or solvents to remove pastel dust plenty and this thing holds up. So worth it if youre a pastel painter or any painter needing a tray that doesnt cost 80.00 and above

I've been searching for this tray for a really really long time. Finally watched a review on YouTube on a mobile PA set up and the reviewer mentioned the brand. This tray is really really good. Heavy & sturdy. The screw mount looks thin & fragile but it's solid stable. This tray itself is heavy good which adds to the stability. That being said, don't put anything excessively heavy. I don't regret this purchase although it went out of my budget slightly
