Invincible Compendium Volume 1

Best superhero comic to date!!!
As for a lot of people, when the Amazon Prime show came out I fell in love with it and wanted to read the source material. When I saw that the comics had compendium formats I instantly purchased it. After reading it I can firmly say the comic is just as perfect as the show. From the in depth story telling to the graphic and gruesome violence. It all flows so well, it’s rare for a series to have 6 different plot lines all be coherently sound with each other and flow so well that you are gripped and excited to turn the next page, but Robert Kirkman nails it with this. If you want a fun new graphic and gripping take on the currently bland superhero genre this comic is a must read.

It's worth it, just don't be an idiot an drop it in a pool.
Both one of the best comics I have ever read and one of the most efficient collections I have ever laid my hands on. The book itself is a beast, being over 800 pages and with each page having fairly strong paper production that holds the entire book strongly. This is impressive, because even with the The Walking Dead Compendium, Spiderman Man Omnibus, and the DC Classic Collections, the paper is often not good enough or the make up isn't strong enough to hold the book to make them last five years, tops. This collection on the other hand I can see myself having it for forever. As for the comic, dear lord, this is easily one of the most engaging, brutal, and entertaining stories I have ever read. The art is spectacular, the characters and actually well written, and the heroes actually deal with enormous moral and physical dilemma that I have always wanted to see tackled in the Superhero Medium. By the time I finish this story (being 2/3 done already) I have determined that this comic not only might be one of the best superhero stories, but the greatest work in fiction, period. No other medium has made me feel this much emotion. Simply fantastic, and I urge everyone to buy this masterpiece and support everyone who was involved in the creation of this beauty. I can easily say that I will be reading this story over and over again for decades to come.

Great read! Different from original issues
I've read about a 1/4 of this and it's a very good read. I have read the original prints and found that quite a few things have changed from the originals as far as plot and quite a few scenes that have been added or taken away altogether. It's not bad by any means, and follows more in relation to the television show than the original comic. It honestly is like reading a whole new story. If you are looking for the original storyline, buying individual issues or the 25 volumes would be better for that purpose

Worth the read
I watched the first season of the show when it first came out, and enjoyed it. That being said, I knew I had to go back and read the source material before I watched anymore, so I could compare the two. Being an avid comic reader and collector, I enjoyed this series very much. It has all the things we love about traditional comics, while being unique enough in it's world building and story to keep it interesting.

Great comic series
I read this book as it came out in single issues. Returning to it in this large volume is great and enhances the enjoyment of watching the animated series on Amazon Prime.
