So pleased with my Lotus flower seeds
I have followed the instructions that came with Lotus Seeds , and all the seeds are sprouting beautifully.. The six seeds are a good size and they are healthy. They would make a wonderful gift for anybody and it is quite exciting , watching them grow day by dayThank you

8 times yes!
I received the kit and I was very happy with the content. The amount of seeds in each bag is definitively enough to start growing all the herbs and actually for a couple of them I had some seeds left. Also the soil looks good quality and again it’s more than enough for the 8 pots (and again I had same left which I used in a pot that I had to sow the spare seeds). The 8 pots and the labels provided are perfect too! I can surely say that this kit is value for money!I found the kit very easy to use and I really enjoyed every minute of sowing the 8 herbs. However instruction quality could be improved by giving more details on how to handle the compressed soil after soaking it in water: the soil in each compressed disk is in little bags that I needed to cut and empty on my table first to get the soil and then move it in each pots. Nothing too complicated but knowing it in advance would prevent some initial mess.My photo is showing the pots after a few hours from sowing and now I am waiting for the herbs to grow. Very exciting!

Great idea with some flawed production
Basics:- Came with some really basic things, cardboard seeder pots, seeds and wooden labels.- Instructions are super basic. Essentially just out seeds in compost with water.Negatives:- instructions were not informative enough. Different seeds likely need different environments and seed times. There was no information about how long to wait before seedlings appear, where to keep them, when to repot them, etc…- lack of information likely led to parsley not growing at all! Very annoyed as this was probably the one I wanted most.- The mint provided was Catmint and is therefore not usable for drinking or using in food. (I personally do not like the smell either).- basil provided is awful. It grew, but is very rubbery and does not smell of basil. Could be due to how it was grown, but again that reflects the lack of information.

Easy to use
Great for beginners. Unfortunately I’ve still had no luck with mine after a month.

Sleeper hit of my neighbour's 10-year old daughter's birthday haul
I've grown my own herbs for many years and my neighbour's daughter had always commented on how they made my kitchen smell so pleasant, so I bought this kit as a gift for her tenth birthday. The initial reaction was... muted, but almost a month on and both she and her parents are fascinated by the herb kit. The growing plants have pride of place on the kitchen window sill. The girl's mother says this has awakened an interest in plants in their house that had never existed before. The kit really does have everything to get started. The quantity of seeds is very generous: you could successfully sow into twice as many pots as the eight provided. The biodegradeable pots can be easily transplanted into bigger pots as the herbs grow and the accessories included (name stakes and a trimmer) are useful. An excellent gift and the selection of herbs will satisfy most cooks.

didn't grow
All looked ok. However- NONE of the 4 recipients of these as Christmas gifts were successful in getting the seeds to germinate. As two were real plant people, these turned out to be underwhelmingly embarrassing gifts to have given.

Don’t expect to have usable herbs any time soon.
Great idea but not all germinated which was disappointing. Those that did are fine but it will take along time to reach usable quantities. Cheaper to get packets of seeds to plant in trays. Good for introducing children to herbs and gardening even on a small scale.
