Stuff of DREAMS
I needed this 3 years ago!My partner's favourite mug has been deep tea stained, I've spent the last 3 years scrubbing away, using various methods - to no avail. One treatment of this stuff and 90% of the stain has lifted away. Mug looks brand new. Gorgeous stuff. Highly recommend. It does leave a little smell afterwards. I recommend heavily rinsing and washing after treatment before using items again.Wish I'd taken a before and after pic!

Made by witches, not Muggles
It's fascinating watching this product work. If you think how stubborn tannin stains are in cups and mugs. You could spend an hour scrubbing with a dishcloth, and not make a dent in the stain. But Astonish Specialist Clean & Revive Stain Remover, works sort of like paint stripper does on paint. It makes the tannin stains wrinkle and lift of the inside of the cup, then slowly dissolves them into the hot water. It does a bloody! good job too. Leave it long enough, and you end up with a stain-free cup and a load of brown water, that you just tip out. For anyone, like me, who has a Vsitoo heated mug, I can confirm that this product does not damage the mug at all. The instructions say not to use the stain remover on aluminium (that's al-um-in-ee-um) to you Yanks (laughs). I went onto the Vsitoo website, to make sure that my rather expensive mug was steel, and it is, with an enamel coating on the inside. I sometimes use my Vsitoo S2 as a fancy teasmade, where I make a cup of tea before going to bed, then switch on the mug from the phone app in the morning. But that ended up staining the mug, hence the tub of Astonish Specialist Clean & Revive Stain Remover now sitting in my kitchen cupboard. Highly recommended.

I really am Astonished -- it works perfectly!
I wish I'd taken before and after pictures, but this stuff WORKS! I revived nice porcelain mugs that no amount of Cif scrubbing/cleaner could get out before now. I even had a very old and very stained metal steel tumbler used for making tea that's been completely revived: basket and all. It's honestly incredible; just 1.5 tsp in a mug, water from your kettle into a mug, let it sit and it does all the work for you.Have also used this for cleaning the tanin off steel tea steeping baskets, teaballs, and my plastic gravity tea infuser.Incredible product - I wish I'd known about it sooner!

It's a brilliant product.
This stuff works like magic. Removes the toughest coffee and tea stains from your mugs. Absolutely brilliant.Fill your cup with boiling water, add a teaspoon of the Astonish cup cleaner and leave in a sink half an hour. It all gets fizzy and foamy. After the solution cooled down, pour it out, wash the cup normally, rinse well and there you have it! White and clean as new cup! Just ready to be re-stained with your favourite drinks! What a joy!A little tip. Try checking your local supermarkets and Pound Land. I have seen this product there much cheaper.Hope it helps.

Quick and easy way to clean stained cups
I use a stainless steel travel mug to take my coffee into work and it is a swine to keep clean. Over time the coffee stains the inside and the narrow width make it difficult to completely clean up. Added to that, ceramic cups and mugs also tend to stain over time and the dishwasher, while useful, doesn't always remove the tannin-stains.This stuff is great - fill the cup with boiling water, pop it in the sink, add a tablespoon full of the powder and leave it. The water will fizz up, immediately removing muck from the cup. You just leave it till it cools, rinse it out thoroughly, and you have a sparkling clean cup. It is a little bit expensive I feel, but still worth buying as it does such a good job.I was asked to score it on flavour, which I haven't done. One thing you won't want to do is drink the stuff, I imagine it would be lethal. I take my reviewing seriously but have to draw the line there.
