PERFECT IMO but... does need 1 thing.
I don't write a lot of reviews but I wanted to write on this one for two reasons. First, because I like the product! I'd debated buying something like this for several years as my old one (a Craigslist find) was dying / rusting out. Hated spending more than "craigslist" prices but, this is definitely one of those "you get what you pay for" deals as this is a really good product. Exactly what we were looking for. Works exactly as described and looks great. The only thing it needs in my opinion is a way to deal with the funnel effect. If you think "rainstorm" and then look at the design of the fire-pit itself... it actually forms a giant funnel to collect rainwater and pour it inside the base / all over the metal parts inside... which in my experience rust out WAY to quick. :( Now granted there aren't a lot of metal parts inside but funneling water inside is certainly going to hasten their demise so.... I bought a HUGE bowl (search "Winco , 30-Quart, Stainless Steel" on Amazon) and put it on top, then put the included cover over that and strapped it down ($1.99 strap in the camping section at Walmart - I use them for everything!). Without the added bowl, when you put the included cover over the fire-it it simply sags down into the bowl and water fills up in it like a bird bath and... then water drips / seeps through the cover into the bowl and down into the base. No good. Bowl solves the problem and should make this fire-pit last a good 10+ years. See pics I've attached. Bowl is huge yes, but fits this perfectly.

Excellent Product
This is an excellent product. I was looking for a heater and then decided on this since it looked really nice. It gives off enough heat for me, though less than an actual heater. Well made product. I was gong to replace the lava rocks with colored flame glass chips, but I liked the lava rocks so much that I plan to keep them. They look much more natural. We even made smores using this last night. Worth every penny! Note: the starter is a little touchy but it's because I didn't read the instructions. You have to turn the dial to the start position and actually push it in and hold it in for about 15 seconds, and then push the starter button. Highly recommend.

Perfect firepit for my deck.
This firepit is beautiful! Very sturdy and best of all came fully assembled with paint pens for future chips. It was pristine and still is. I did buy a heavier cover and changed the lava rocks to fire glass. Lots of compliments! My friend bought one after seeing mine.

Easy to Assemble, Sturdy and Looks Expensive
Week 3 Update: This fit pit is temperamental. It stopped working after one use. We were freezing out in the backyard. Next day, we checked that all the parts were secured and tank had air and could not get it to work. It sounded like gas wasn’t going through the line. Was about ready to return it, but husband decided to try and replace the connector hose. When he detached the hose, he found a blockage in the hose that has to be cleared manually. Now it’s working again.Week 1: Exceeded all my expectations! Item arrives fully assembled in the box, just pull it out and put the red lava rocks (included) in the bowl. All metal with faux rock facade on the base. Not too wide and height is perfect while seated in chairs. The 20 lb propane tank goes underneath and is hidden, electronic starter makes it easy to use.It feels warm when you sit close to it but it doesn’t Radiat heat too far. Perfect for 50-60F west coast outdoor weather, may not be warm enough for deep winter weather. But it looks beautiful and so relaxing. Love it!!!

Great Fire Columns for our Pool.
We bought 2 for our pool. We did replace one as it kept going out. We noticed they were slightly different. One had a circle where the flame came out and one had a rectangle. The rectangle didn't work as well. The replacement was the circle. They work great. Look great and produce a good amount of heat. We did change out the lava rocks for blue glass which we loved. I bought 2 sets of 20lb. glass separately [Future Way 20lbs Fire Pit Glass, 1/2 Inch Cobalt Blue]. We also bought garbage can lids and spray painted them bronze and added magnets so they stayed down instead of the ugly covers. We ordered them directly from Behrens [31 gallon steel lid]. Love them.

Worth every penny!
I rarely write a review but I have to this time. This fire pit perfectly completes my patio conversation set. The set up is easy than ever because you basically just need to connect the 20lb propane gas tank to the valve, ignite it and done! I've been using for 5 times and love it every time. I got so many compliments from friends and family for such a simple fire pit with a sophisticated look. I used Hiland fire glass in pacific blend to complete its fancy look.

It's the real deal
This firepit is the real deal - it is heavy duty. From the stand to the bowl on top, it is not cheaply made. It is heavy so you won't just lift it up and around all the time, but the base and the bowl are really sturdy, not just look alike material. We bought the glass to go in it, we filled the bottom part with part of the lava rock included and then put the glass on top of that, otherwise, you may be buying 2 containers of glass. It was easy to assemble and we had it up and going within 20 to 30 minutes. We bought a different heavy duty cover for it, as the one that comes with it is very thin and it looks like water would likely leak through it. Very beautiful on our deck, I would recommend this fire pit.

“Free returns” aren’t free
I bought this because Amazon said “free returns” but that’s a lie. To my house this fire pit’s shipping was $40. I had to pay that to ship it back. Ive returned so many items for actual $0 to Amazon that when you say “free returns” to a prime member I assume that means “no cost to you, the customer.” Very frustrating when you can’t get a clear return cost anywhere on the amazon website. The fire pit itself works fine — it’s well made, looks nice, and puts out a nice flame. It’s just not enough warmth for my outdoor patio. If you want this for some moderate heat and aesthetics it’s perfect — as a heater it’s not great. I thought that could be the case and would not have tried it out if Amazon had been more explicit about how the returns on this item would work.
