Great book arrived in poor condition:(
This book has some great small primitive patterns. I plan on making several. I love the contents of the book just not real thrilled with the condition the book arrived in. What are they doing to boxes in transit? I still plan on using the patterns in the book I think I may consider an alternative seller. Sorry Amazon. Very disappointed.

Nice concept and designs
First off I have to admit that I am a Jan Patek applique fan. I enjoy the primitive style of her designs and her method of needle-turn applique. If you didn't know, these little quilts (12.5" x 25.5") are made so that you can hang them from a wire table-top stand (12" x 14") or any other stand (or drape them over a open cupboard door, etc.) where you can see both sides of the quilt. I love this idea because I have a buffet up against a cutout in the wall between my dining room and entry. I've wanted to put a quilt stand there but then you would be looking at the back of the quilt from one room or the other unless you made two quilt blocks. Yes, that's basically what you are doing when you make one of these turnabouts. If you don't care about being able to see both sides of the small quilt, then you could pick two different seasons or holidays and then as one holiday ends, turn the quilt to the other side and you have an instant holiday decoration change without putting away one and getting out a different quilt. Cool. The designs in this book are nice and are doable in either needle-turn or fusible web (if you reverse the patterns) applique. The patterns are on tear out sheets at the back of the book (unfortunately, they are double sided). Jan explains how she does her needle-turn process. With these designs you can mix and match whichever designs you like best and make them as a turnabout or as standalone 12.5" quilts. If I was offered a do-over, would I purchase the book? Yes. I recommend this book.. Jan's designs are primitive and very simple so they are very doable for all skill levels. If you want to stitch the entire quilt by hand, that would be very doable also.

Love these little quilts.
Looks like fun to make and much quicker and easier to display than a full sized quilt. I like to take their idea and change it to make it just mine with a few tweeks here and there.

Small Quilts.
Really like the book, it is nice to do projects that do not take forever to complete. I like the fact I can complete the turnabout in a couple days. They look great.

Adorable quilts to sparkle up your home .
Lovely book , with small projects to make. These days everyone is so busy, that there is hardly time for such big projects. This book is a real timesaver!
